Depends on how it's presented. Like, I can barely watch the recaps in HxH (thank god there were only 2) but I can watch recaps from Kyousougiga (with voice actor commentary) and the Gurren Lagann recap ep.

Best recap ep in my current memory was Avatar's Ember Island Players episode.

Yes, I do; just a waste of time. And I also haven't watched the Extra Edition.

I'll read peoples comments to see if there's anything in there that might be worth my time, if there is i'll sit through it but I usually just assume there isn't and don't bother.

I see no point in recap eps... they are wasting an episode for nothing. Unless they are running behind and cant do an actual ep... but then that detracts from the series count, instead of 13 or 26 eps youre left with 12 or 25 actual eps.

Out of curiosity, how many of you guys skip recap episodes?

I do so, myself since I don't really feel like it's worth my time and I can't sit through it either. Main reason I had an issue with Sword Art Online: Extra Edition.

Does anyone else do this?

I don't outright skip them, but I do tend to pay less attention to them while watching--so it can be kind of background.

Sometimes I pay a bit more attention if the recap is wedged into an episode where there actually is something somewhat significant happening that frames the recap (like in those like 3 recap episodes in a row in Space Brothers), or if I haven't been paying very good attention to the show thus far and plot is important enough that I could use a refresher.

BTW, Poll topics belong in the Polls forum regardless of subject matter, so I've moved this thread there.

I didn't realize they did that. Make sme want to go and rewatch the ones I skipped.

Sorry. >~< I got a bit confused on where to put it.

It just depends. If I put the series on hiatus for awhile I will, but I generally skip over them otherwise.

Yes because I really don't see the point of them. Just a waste of time.

Sometimes. If I feel like I didn't quite understand something about a story I might go back to see if I understood everything that happened correctly.

Keep in mind that some things can get lost in translation, so maybe you might misinterpret something occasionally. I wonder how many times this has happened and gone unnoticed! I did watch the AoT recap eps, since at times the plot was all over the place. Blatant rewind episodes are an obvious skip. (Ex: Hunter x Hunter Gon letters kid Obito under a rock flashbacks)

It's not usually all that significant, and it was a horrible way to do things in Space Brothers, because it took forever

and really bogged things down, while I kept praying (and I am not a praying person) "Please, please let the recaps be over!!"

I don't ever skip any episodes. It bother's me too much not watching all of it and some recaps have a tad bit of information they don't give in the series.
