Bruce Lee married Linda Lee Cadwell, a famous example yes? If I remember correctly, Bruce Lee was from Hong Kong.

A perfect example right there.

Maybe it's just preference, maybe it's their parents or family constantly reminding them to marry a Chinese girl or something, or maybe it's just their settling thinking that they can't get a non Asian woman or that non Asian women are uninterested.

Maybe it's just the location and the dating pool just turns out to be an Asian majority. Like if I wanted to try to get with a Korean girl, I'd go to the Korean areas in the next city, because the area I live in is mostly made up of Caucasian girls.

In the United States relationship are still very much "stick to your own kind"

There are more and more mixed couples, and it's becoming closer to being a common occurrence, but there is still pressure to keep the same company when is comes to romance.

Actually, most the Asians I know are dating Americans. I think it might be because the Asians I know are musicians, and playing music automatically makes you like 250% more attractive.

I think it is a since of responsibility. I read an article that did a break down of what people in America does the most race mixing in marriage or dating. the researchers found that asian men, white men, and black women do the least interracial relationship mix than all the different people. Black men do the most. the article stated asian men, white men, and black women feel a stronger responsibility towards trying to protect their families and community. The article states that black women are at a disadvantage because black men in general are not supportive of black women and the black children and their community, such as committing violence on black women and their children and organizing crime on them, and investing financially in them.

So I think it is a sense of having a connection a man feels for the women of his race. however, because asian marry and date asian women doesn't mean he is racist. I find the asian men with asian wives and families and girlfriend have a better attitude towards black people, however, black men with white women or any other non white woman and asian women with white men have awful attitudes towards black people. That is just what I noticed.

My dad is Korean and my Mom is white, and when people ask me about it they are usually surprised that it is my Dad that is Asian. In terms of white + Asian couples the percentage of the woman being Asian is more than double than that of being male. Fortunately it seems like that gap is shrinking. I grew up in Hawaii though, and over there like almost everyone is some sort of Asian mix.

I'm Filipino, so I'm mixed with everything, so race is not much of an issue with me. I actually look like King Tut.

No. Your ethnicity is some brand of Asian (Korean, Japanese, Filipino...etc. etc.), but your Nationality is American. Your race is Asian. (Unless you're mixed...Then it varies).

But yeah. If you're a citizen of America or you become one your Nationality is American.

I didn't really get that far in detail but thanks for clearing it up.

Then people in the US are still European and or African or whatever country they originated from apart from the indigenous/first people?

Yeah, I'm wondering how that works too. Technically we're all African, but defining ourselves as Asian or whatever depends on our most recent origins on the cosmic scale of things or whatever.

You know what, I don't know what I am saying. My grandparants live in Vietnam, so I am a Vietnamese American Goddamit, and that's all I need to know.

People are (usually) attracted to similarity and familiarity. They're attracted to people who appear similar and are similar to them, and being familiar with something/someone makes it more likable to us. That may be why you're seeing less of these couples, but being attracted to similarity doesn't really mean just physically, it means through personality traits and interests as well. Actually, the similarity between personality traits out weighs the physical part, or so it seems.

But yeah, people are more likely to be attracted to someone who appears similar, or appears 'familiar' to them than anything.

I wonder what I'd be if I suddenly migrated to the US?

I'm British, parents and grandparents from the Caribbean?

I think for easy reference, you'd just be referred to as "Black" or whatever you look most like.
