Hi there

After months of viewing CR with no problems my Samsung App now is stuck on the loading screen. I have tried...

Deleting/reinstalling app
Switching from wired to wifi and back
Rebooted hub
Checked CR availability on other devices (ipad, PC, AppleTV)
Other apps are working, youtube, netflix etc

I can't change my DNS server address to use the Google DNS servers as suggested elewhere. The DNS is hard coded into my router by my ISP (BT).

Any help or other suggestions would be gratefully received

Does your Samsung allow the network settings to be configured?

Unless a device can't be configured or is set to automatic DNS, it won't matter what the DNS settings on the router are or whether those can be changed.

For example, if I set one of my computers to use Google DNS but my router is set to use OpenDNS, that computer will use Google DNS.

Thanks for your suggestion. It turns out that my ISP introduced new parental controls which were defaulted to 'on' so I couldn't change my DNS to a DNS outside of their network. Parental controls now turned off and my connection is fine again.

P.S if anyone in CrunchyRoll reads this, you might want to get your site removed from BT parental controls hit list.

Although I knew about the UK's recent mandatory filters, that didn't click in my brain as a possible issue.

I have to wonder if CR could get itself removed, since some content is not what some parents might consider "kid friendly". I know the UK isn't as uptight as the US, but it is a toss-up on what they might consider too racy or violent.

I am in Canada and we don't have these parental controls forced into us by our ISP's, still, I am unable to get the app to work, it just gets stuck in an infinite "loading" loop.

I tried everything, from changing the DNS to re installing the app and nothing.

You originally said you checked CR availability on other devices, I assume making that statement meant it was available.
How does the ISP parental control setting not affect those?
Which ISP do you have, and how did you change the setting exactly?
