what is this world coming too... Its like shits hitting the fan left and right, corruption in every country, stupidity breeding like wildfire and religious extremism tearing the world apart. Why is it we can't have a single day without something horrible happening? i had to stop reading the news a while back because it actually made me sick to my stomach with all the stupid shit going on.

Strange, outside of the main warzone. Lest that zone be getting bigger, which it usually seems to be.

This is indeed a sad incident especially when the mexican military and cartels are working hand in hand and doing such atrocious stuff like this.

I actually read about this a month ago. Pretty fucked up world we live in. I don't really know what else to say because shit like this happens all the time usually for MONEY.

international awareness and international help. when the people in your country that are supposed to be protecting you are harming you...

Reminds me of this #FreeGirls campaign earlier this year

We seem to have a thread for everything these days. Was there ever a thread for the 200+ Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by terrorists a while ago?

I've been hearing about these 43 missing students for the past month or so. The mayor was supposedly on the run and later arrested for his connection to the disappearance.

If people stopped buying drugs then it would weaken the cartel by reducing some income. That ain't happening anytime soon though.
So legalizing marijuana would give them a good blow, maybe.

Unfortunately I'm ignorant on this subject, heavily ignorant on cartels and the way they work , the corruption of the Mexican government and most definitely ignorant on drugs.

Go ahead and legalize drugs, it won't solve Mexico's problems. These cartel thugs will just switch over to express kidnappings like in Ecuador

The whole country is coming one, Places like Monterrey which used to be an upper class Mexico tech area are now overrun by the cartels as well. Guess who owns the politicians and the police. I had hope for Mexico back in the early 2000s that they might one day turn their country around and join the developed world, now I don't see it happening, at least for another 50+ years.

The mayor had the police kidnapped the students, delivered them to a gang and burned them all alive. Apparently the gang and the mayor and his wife were working hand and hand for years.

They already know who did it: a gang called "Guerreros Unidos" with the city police and mayor's office coordinating the attack.

The mayor is involved?? That's so fucked up.. I hope he will tell the truth, otherwise he's a worthless sack of ****, just like those corrupt policemen and twisted gangmembers. Makes you wish that hitmen would just take every gang out of commission or that they would be poisoned, no remorse.. They really are vicious, I can understand why people are scared.
