Episode 2

Talk about some nice theatrics to play out the possibility of what happened at the scene. Anyway, Kobayashi's fingerprints are on the weapons, but only the weapons leading to the big mistake made by the killer seeing that there should have been fingerprints all over the place. So in the end, the teacher was a killer himself who turned women he loved into his personal chairs, and Hoshino wanted to be one of them but couldn't so she took it out on him. That was very nicely done there and the segment with Corpsey is pretty funny.

Is no one bothered by the plausibility of a 14 years old girl being strong enough to strangle a grown up man, then dragging and sectioning his corpse with a saw? Because I'm pretty sure that requires some serious muscles .

Well that was interesting.. And a bit fun at the end.

The whole arresting was merely bait to draw out the killer. Though we also got a bit of a ploy to further that goal. And i rather had missed that little clue in the first episode, should have picked up on that.

the whole autopsy thing.. i dunno. didn't quite work for me.

But nice leadup to the actual killer there. We also got a further look into the disturbed mind of the MC as well.

And then there was the bit with the teacher freaking out. Poor sensei.

It's a show don't question logic. If you do you'll just end up mind f*cked

Another great episode. It seems they will follow the Sherlock model in having "episodic" arcs focusing on Kobayashi and Akechi solving various cases, each story based on Ranpo's books. Color me interested.

I do like that they are going with the whole "mind of a killer" thing which used in A.Christie's works, namely
.

Sure it is also used as premise in current modern take on Sherlock, which makes that show's ties with this work even more apparent. The moment where Kobayashi genuinely thanked the killer for entertainment was such Sherlock moment.

Also it seems I was correct about meaning of silhouettes - when we see Kobayashi's friend in the classroom, no silhouettes there.

It's a mystery show, they should be BUILT on logic . That's the whole point of watching a mystery, it has to make sense .

._. fine you want logic man. Here is what most likely happened, a 14 year old girl can basically do a lot of things considering the possibilities any one of any age can strangle a person. Yes it requires muscle but that doesn't mean it's impossible if you don't have much muscles. Considering the teacher looked like he was in his early 20's he probably didn't way much as you'd think.Making the sectioning not too hard. All of the things she did could have been done easily besides the sleeping drugs part.

If you wanted logic you could have asked how she got the sleeping drugs without being caught.

Episode 2

That was underwhelming based on my expectations. I mean, the first murder case was resolved quite easily and not only that but was much more lighthearted in the first episode. They also made jokes too near the end with the current teacher.

However, I will say that the comedy has some clever gimmicks to it. The MC is almost like a troll lol

That was fun. Teacher jumping out the window and the medical examiner were hilarious.

Liked the stage setting they went for when explaining how the murder happened. Can't recall where I've seen that before.

That's one messed up class.

Chairs.
An enjoyable reveal episode. I liked the Corpsey segment, but I do have a thing for dark humour. The MC is warped, and I like it.

It seems I was right with the teacher becoming a chair as having a taste of his own medicine. It seems the method of killing was done after he was put to sleep, which seems plausible. I enjoyed the other elements of the show enough to suspend my disbelief though.

All the clues were there, and they did give enough information in episode one to give a decent speculation - I will pay more attention to future episodes.

If Akechi's words are anything to go by, the next crimes should be harder, with the criminals at least resisting.

I actually thought the strangling bit would be a reason the MC couldn't have done it. He's not particularly strong looking.

Though strangling an unconscious person shouldn't be too hard for a fourteen year old, on second thought. She could use her body weight and lean into the strangle considering she didn't have to also keep hold of a struggling victim.
And if she had most of the night, I don't see why she wouldn't be able to dismember him.

I think it's still very hard to do. You don't see many little, frail girls working as butchers, right? Flesh and bones aren't easy stuff to cut through. If she had an electric saw maybe, but a manual one? It'd be pretty hard I think.

Episode 2

Some glasses chick jealous that their teacher loved Kobayshi instead of her so she killed him.

Kobayashi caught her using the teacher's phone (that other guy's phone) to bait her & have her confess.

Skeleton ribs and a heart in another chair.

New teacher acting like a retard again.

tl;dr weaker episode than the first which wasn't good to begin with.
