This is a fun thread where you can tell us about any cool Japanese products you own or have seen recently! You are encouraged to post your pictures of the cool Japanese stuff in this thread! We'd all love to see any interesting pictures!

For example I went to the local Japanese supermarket and saw this:

Sponji desu. I think its name is Gekiochi-Kun, though I don't know what Gekiochi means

I don't really know if it is the sponge's name! It was an interesting product, especially since it has the German flag on it!

Must be made from Doitsu ;o? I just realized I also have a nearby Japanese store in my neighborhood! It's called "Daiso". I don't know if you've heard of it, but I'll definitely visit it sometime soon and post some pictures

You know you have way too much free time the moment you decide to translate a Japanese sponge

洗剤なしでステンレス・ガラス・陶器などのしつこい汚れ驚く(?)ほどキレイに!
せんざいなしでステンレス・ガラス・とうきなどのしつこいよごれおどろく(?)ほどキレイに!
Clean the persistent dirt off your stainless [steel], glass, chinaware, etc. without detergents!
(not sure about that „odoroku” here, couldn't read the kanji well)

水だけでスッキリ!
Clean with water alone!

ドイツ生まれの新素材 (ドイツうまれのしんそざい)
[Made of] new high-tech materials produced (invented?) in Germany

激落ちくん (げきおちくん)
It's hard to come up with a one-word (or at least a short phrase) equivalent for Gekiochi-kun. 激 (げき or はげしい)can mean something like „violent”, „furious”, „extreme”, „intense”, etc. 落ち (おち)can be: 1) slip, omission 2) outcome, final result, the end 3) punch line (of a joke); however, the verb 落ちる(おちる)can mean „to fade” or „to come off” (like a stain). So, basically speaking, Gekiochi-kun is a sponge that sort of makes the stains fade by using force or even violence. A delinquent among sponges

使えば納得!(つかえばなっとく!)
You'll understand (agree?) once you've used it!

It's rather hard to find anything from Japan in my country's stores in general (most Asian stuff comes from China) but I'll try to be on a lookout for any products like this :D

Wonder if Gekiochi-kun is as good as they say - there are even videos on YT about it!

うわー!とても凄いですね〜。It's amazing that someone finally translated the sponge! I always wondered what it said on it and why ドイツ was written on it!! ゲキオチくん is such a cute delinquent sponge!!! Next time I'm in the Japanese supermarket I'll try to find another sponge to take a picture of!

I was making lasagna today with this brand of vegan Ricotta cheese and I was surprised to see all the countries they have this brand in! Like look at the Japanese flag! I wonder what the Japanese packaging of this product looks like! (Also, senpai if you're reading this, they also sell it in Poland apparently!)

I've heard of it, but never tried that brand.

I did a quick search for ricotta cheese (リコッタチーズ) on Amazon Japan. I couldn't find this brand.

It's really good! The lasagna came out yummy! And me too, I just searched for the Japanese version of it and couldn't find it so strange!

I've heard about these green tea Kit Kat chocolate bars.
http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Kit-Kat-Matcha-Chocolate/dp/B00859MEN4

Has anyone tried these? Are they any good? I'm guessing it is a tea flavored white chocolate.
