Per my faith, it depends on your life whether you go to Heaven or Hell. So, there's that.

Heaven or hell or nothing it's all based on your views.

Who cares?

What's important is that you're alive now, so how about focusing on living instead of endlessly pondering topic as useless (practicality-wise) as this?

I have no idea, but I wouldn't too worried. What I do know is that real men don't fear death, which is something no one can ever cheat on. I may be mortal, but my real strength can help me overcome thanatophobia (which seems to be other ppl's kryptonite), til death itself seals my fate. I will die someday, but knowing all my weaknesses.

There seem to be a few people who are kidding themselves in answering this poll...not because they believe in heaven per se, but because they all think that's where they are going!! So who's coming to hell with me in my handbasket?!? Incidentally, I've had a few totally underwhelming NDE's so I am blissfully convinced that death results in sweet nothingness, & I'm more than content with that.

I'm gonna go with eternal nap-time, which sounds quite comfy and relaxing, really, far more-so than the stress of eternal life.

NOTHING.
think about the time before you were born... did you feel anything? remember anything? no. it's the same for death.

Once the brain is dead, all memory is lost, essentially "you" are lost. it doesn't matter if you have a "soul"... memory is stored in the brain, not in the soul.

That's why people with total amnesia become a new person.

If Cremated, sit in a jar for the rest of Eternity. If Buried, become nutrients for Nature.

Afterlife because of my religious beliefs. I can't prove there is one however obviously -- so any of the possibilities listed could occur. I'd certainly hope it's not nothingness though. The thought of that is terrifying to me. To be honest, I'd rather go to some place like hell where I get tortured for all eternity rather than just disappear off the face of existence and leave behind only a rotting corpse that's food for maggots. Physical and mental pain is nothing compared to your identity being blasted into oblivion and never being able to think, feel, or experience anything ever again.

But hey, that's just me.
