Ahh thank you!! Same to you! Your movie preferences are sweet too.

I see you have Animals as Leaders listed as well!! Such good music. I saw them live a couple years ago -- eargasm extreme.

Yup I love metal! Mayhem, Slayer, Sunn O))), Nile and Cannibal Corpse. Oh and Animals As Leaders is awesome. I loved The Joy Of Motion, but I could never really get into their first two albums apart from liking a few tracks, like CAFO.

If you like Animals As Leaders you should check out CHON if you haven't heard of them already. They're not really metal, I would call them math rock if I had to call them something lol.

I'll check that out, and their second album SUCKS imo. I can't get into it for the life of me. I love their first album. I really like Tempting time, soraya, behaving badly, song of solomon(i like pretty much every song except the little short songs like tessitura and point to point cause they sound like warm up songs, but even after listening a lot i enjoy them.) Joy of Motion is amazing though, I can really see how much they improved from the second album. Idk what went wrong with Weightless. Oh and speaking of bands like that, I really like Scale the Summit(I've only heard The Migration but it's pretty awesome). Oh yea, AAL's first album is just Tosin playing, the rest of the instruments were drum tracks, etc. The second and third album are an actual band.

I'm really happy with what they did in The Joy Of Motion. I've been wanting to get into Animals As Leaders for a while now, but I just couldn't "feel" the music from the first two albums. TJOM however hits all the ticks all the right boxes for me, the first track I heard was Physical Education and I loved it straight away.

Scale The Summit... I've heard that album. It's been ages since I listened to it, I don't remember anything particularly great or amazing it was ok, kinda boring tbh. I think the first track is really cool though.

Also, two more artists (solo) I love: Sithu Aye and Plini, deffo recommend these guys.

I'm an all-around person, but metal is my "first" genre and most favorite. I mostly listen to progressive, power, symphonic, and death metal. My favorite bands are Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, Persephone, Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel, Shattered Skies, and Opeth. I used to be into the mainstream stuff like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. but I grew out of them eventually (don't get me wrong I like those bands, I just don't listen to them often anymore).

Do perhaps mean Persefone? The Progressive/Death Metal band from Andorra? Because their last two albums were killer.

I love the classic metal acts of the 70's and 80's. And I'm waiting for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame to take a close look at Iron Maiden , Judas Priest, and Motorhead. Come on guys, if you can get in Sabbath, Rush (well, its debatable if Rush really is a metal band) and even Kiss, why not give the big three of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal a shot?
