People would be dead left and right as a 2 dimensional being would be well under a molecule thick and the slightest touch would slice people to death

Nick Fury = Samuel "Mother Father" Jackson

Nick Fury looked different before Samuel Jackson got the role. He nailed it despite his looks.

Err. Almost everyone can nailed an annoyed, really demanding, loud mouth, can't keep to himself persona, if you ask me.

As long as you don't apply surgical procedures to make your eyes look bigger. Seriously I think people are misinterpreting that whole thing in anime where characters have big eyes. First there was that Ukrainian chick back in 2011-2012 and now there's Armin at one Universal Studios Japan Attack on Titan thing, but I only saw that on Facebook.

My point was Samuel Jackson looks nothing like the drawings of Nick Fury prior to his taking the role

The Nick Fury from the films is based on the Nick Fury from the Ultimate Universe, not the normal Marvel Universe Nick Fury. Who did they model the Ultimate Universe Nick Fury on? Samuel L. Jackson. First appeared in that form in the 2002 "Ultimates" series, which was the Ultimate Universes' version of the Avengers.

Relatedly - the Ultimate Universe is excellently written and more fun at times than the standard Marvel universe. They actually killed the original Ultimate Spiderman, the current one is Black Hispanic boy named Miles Morales. But seriously, the first run of Ultimate X-Men and the Ultimates are awesome.

Just for some historic reference
