Yes, Landed a job to go over to Japan for at least a year and teach english.

If anyone is curious further i will be moving to Kurashiki and parts of the town look gorgeous.

So ya, that's about it, i'm pretty excited. And if anyone is interested in doing so id say do it, It wasn't too difficult to get the job, just had to show them i have a good work ethic and an ability to work with children/young peoples lol.

How much you say? very little! lol.

But incidently, knowing japanese is not required because it is a full immersion program, no japanese is to be spoken ever.

But i will have plenty of opportunities to learn the language before i leave and while i am there. I am not concerned so much about the inability to communicate, it makes things more interesting lol.

Cool!
I've only ever lived in one country.

Have a good time, do not be an asshole, be polite and friendly, try out new things, realize there is far more to Japan than anime/manga; and most of all remember: you are not only representing yourself, but also your country.

Keep that in mind at all times.

I'd say it's better off knowing some Japanese, cause when you're going around town you'll need it.

In addition there will be a handful of students who absolutely suck at English.

I'm assuming you're teaching at a high school?

I recommend you learn some Japanese before you move. Just because you're teaching in a full imersion program doesn't mean you'll be in full immersion English everywhere you go. Grocery stores, konbini, banking, post office and other daily activities all require Japanese. And while you may be under the impression that most Japanese speak English, they won't because many feel their English is not good and don't want to embarrass themselves.

The smaller the town, the less likely you'll find English. In large cities like Tokyo, it's very easy to read signs because they're in English. In smaller cities, there's not much English. Learning to read kanji is recommended. It's how I get around rural Japan. And Kyoto. Not too many English signs there...but more people are willing to practice English with you in Southern Japan, so, go figure.

Anyways, I hope you have a nice time there and are able to see more than just a classroom.

Congratulations, but I'm also jealous because I want to do the same thing.
