There is one month left in the year 2014...we've had anime that have made us happy and sad, laugh and cry, and censorship so bad it became a meme. Anime has been interesting this year.

Sooo.... a few questions to you all:
What are your thoughts of anime overall?
Has anime grown this year, and if so was it positively or negatively?
What do you think about "non-anime" anime for 2014? (series like Legend of Korra & RWBY)
What are your thoughts about anime in North American media, such as Hatsune Miku on David Letterman or the Marvel x Attack on Titan manga?
What do you hope happens in 2015?

1) I prefer older anime to be honest.

2) I do feel it has grown; unfortunately, the crowd it attracted only new the new series like Attack on Titian and ignore the older classics.

3) Legend of Korra is amazing, I enjoy it.

4) The first is cringe worthy, second...Well, with the availability of manga I hope people take the time to really broaden their horizons.

5) Moe and loli die a very painful death and we go back to actual characterization not based on how adorable or how much like a sexualized little girl you look.

^ Cynical.

I think anime is doing great. I hate this question because it's so damn subjective, but the fact this community is as large, and diverse as it is makes the point that anime and manga have reached a larger audience, and for the better.

I feel like the people who generally have nothing but negative things to say are the same kinds of people who don't listen to music made past 1985. They're, A. stuck in the past, B. only hurting themselves by being closed off and against everything. If you don't like it, whoop dee freaking doo stick to your 20 year old anime series, that's great. If you don't like loli or cuteness, great, I'll forget to clap.

And so what if people are only into popular anime? Why must it always be that people who are either not advanced enough or have no interest in finding anything else are put down? Is anime a cult? Do we need to sign a contract to get in and be real? This is why I stopped being a "metalhead". This closed off mentality of being so elitist makes me wanna scream.

Anime is doing great IF YOU ASK ME.

1. What are your thoughts of anime overall? Overall, I think it did well in 2014 and look forward to 2015.
2. Has anime grown this year, and if so was it positively or negatively? Positively.
3. What do you think about "non-anime" anime for 2014? (series like Legend of Korra & RWBY) Haven't seen either, so - no comment on either.
4. What are your thoughts about anime in North American media, such as Hatsune Miku on David Letterman or the Marvel x Attack on Titan manga? Hatsune Miku on Letterman? Interesting. Marvel vs Attack on Titan, I think has some promise and could be fun
5. What do you hope happens in 2015? More Your Lie in April, Aldnoah Zero doing well, and lots of Sega Hard Girls being ridiculous.
