Hi, I'm Matt. Since I started this group I'll introduce myself.

I'm 31. I have 4 kids as follows:
- 5 year old boy
- 3 year old girl
- Twin 4 month old girls

My wife and I have been married for 7.5 wonderful years and I have introduced my kids to some anime. I think I'll make a separate thread for that. Welcome aboard!

Hi all,

I'm Rich and my wife and I have 2 children, a boy of 8 and a girl aged 4.

I don't think they recognise 'anime' as a style at all, even though they both encounter it all over the place (in games, on TV, all over my home office, etc :)) - they're both equally happy watching Pokemon as they are watching Pixar. I guess maybe kids these days just have a wider choice than ever from the get-go?

Welcome aboard Rich! Nice to meet you. My little girl is almost 4...she's recently gotten into Monster High. And honestly...it's mostly cheesy with a lot of monster themed puns. It's not anime, but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Robert here, 32 year old single dad of an (almost) 8 year old girl.

Since Anime is almost always on in the house and rarely in English, my daughter has been around it since she was a wee baby. Interestingly enough she is started to get more into reading (Santa brought her volume 1 of Yotsuba to! manga, which she loves) and she has been working on reading the subs to me. I personally think it's great, since she's a bit of a late-bloomer when it comes to reading, so it's a massive win for the both of us!

Nice to meet you all!

I know nothing about Yotsuba to, what's it like?

It is about a young girl (aged 5 or 6) that goes to stay with her dad, who is separated from her mother (sound familiar?). It is about the various adventures and "growing up" in a split family. It's very light with some heftier undertones for the adults. My daughter totally loves it!
