It is about a young girl (aged 5 or 6) that goes to stay with her dad, who is separated from her mother (sound familiar?). It is about the various adventures and "growing up" in a split family. It's very light with some heftier undertones for the adults. My daughter totally loves it!

Wow! Sounds like something your daughter can definitely relate to. Also, nice to hear "light" when talking about manga for kids. My 4 year old is JUST learning how to read in school. I'm considering when he can read better getting him a copy of the Chi's Sweet Home/Adenture manga. It's fairly simple to read from what I've seen so far and he loves the anime. It's really cute.

Hi I'm Tanya and I'm 42 years old. Married for almost 16 years and I have 2 kids a10 year old boy and a 7 year old girl.
I've watched anime for a long while and my kids watch lots of shows with me and on their own. Its a little harder on the 7yr old to watch the subtitle ones but she does pretty well. They have watched, pokemon, digimon, fair tail, sailor moon, and many more.

I've gotten my kids into anime enough that we go to cons together and they get to dress up. They have been Link and Zelda and from World of Warcraft, Lili Stormstout and Rexxar. This year we are doing a fairy tail theme and they are very excited.

Hello, nice to find this place. My 5-year old daughter loves Cardcaptor Sakura while my son who just turned 3 had just discovered Pokemon. I've been into anime since I was a teen and it's nice to share my hobby with the little people closest to me.

How goes it folks! The name is Jonathan and I am married + the father of a crazy curly haired 4 year old girl.

Though I don't let her watch any of the more violent anime's (for obvious reasons), but she has overheard a few episodes of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, thus she runs around the house screaming "ora ora!" and occasionally taking swings at me. I love it since she is currently in that stage were she thinks anything i do or say is "super cool", as she likes to word it.

In any case, I hope to get to know most of you better, I look forward to having future conversations on this forum.

I'm Paul. My daughter (14) and son (13) have been watching anime with me since they were very young. In fact, I'm pretty sure that struggling to read subs at an early age really improved their reading skills.

Anyway, my daughter and I compete each season to see who can discover the best new romantic comedy. My son tends to gravitate towards anything with swords and adventure. Whatever the genre, however, I find that some of our deepest conversations and meaningful parenting moments have been spurred by themes and situations that have emerged in the shows we watch together.

Very cool. I have two sisters the same ages as your kids. I'm the oldest of 8...so I have siblings around a lot of different people's ages...

Hello there! This is my first time post (ever), but this kind of group sounded right up my alley and I decided to just bite the bullet.

My name is Sean (35) and I've been married for 8 years to my awesome waifu, April. She and I have twin 5-year old daughters, which makes life pretty exciting most days than not. I've been an anime fan since my teenage years, recently went full otaku acceptance about three years ago after being invited to speak at a comic convention that rekinded my passion for this form of animated storytelling.

Work/Parent life keeps me at a 2-3 episodes a day pace for my ever-expanding CR queue, but I'm not complaining. I remember when I could only get anime from the local Blockbuster back in the day! I believe that taught me the value patience and truly enjoying the stories being told.

It's nice to meet fellow like-minded folks! I hope you all are well and thanks for allowing me join. Hope to chat with you all some time soon. =3

Welcome aboard! And very cool. I too have been married 8 years and also have twin girls, but mine will be 1 year old in July. I also have two older children (6 yr old boy, almost 4 yr old girl).

Feel free to jump into the discussions here. Also, man - 2-3 eps a day, that's a lot. I get in like 1 a week! I get more time to read manga these days than watch anime, personally.
