Vampire Knight Guilty - I was confused all the way from beginning to end. Sorry, the first season AND the second season got me confused. Like what did I even watch.... >.>
Shugo Chara - I dropped it....
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions - Still trying to watch this.
La Corda D'Oro - It was useless...... Utterly Useless.

I would agree for Air Gear Ovas but well those are ovas so... and besides I just love the manga.

I just watched the Stein's;Gate Movie. It doesn't ruin anything but I will tell you it is pointless. The only thing that it adds to the series is some cute scenes with Kurisu drunk. Unless you want to see that, it's kind of pointless to watch it. It doesn't take away from Stein's;Gate but it doesn't add anything either. And yes it is a sequel not a retelling, it takes place a year after the end of Stein's;Gate. The status quo at the end of the OVA does not change throughout the movie.

I bought Stein's;Gate Burdened Region of Deja Vu and Madoka Magica Rebellion in a short span from each other. I agree with you on all points about the Stein's;Gate movie. It doesn't take away anything from the series and doesn't really add much to it either. It's an optional movie that is really is just for the fans.
For me, Madoka Magica Rebellion is a type of movie that ruins a franchise. Without going into to too much detail of why I like to pretend this movie is not in continuity with the series, I will share few points what particularly upset me. 1. The movie incorporates some elements from the fandom and so much so that this movie is mostly comprised of fan-pandering. 2. There is no way to make sense of the ending. There was nothing in the series or within the movie that could imply how Homura could do what she did in the ending. 3. No one fooled by the red herring in this movie yet the movie felt like wasting our time with it. 4. Everything that they did with Madoka upsets me.
What I'm trying to say is that these two movies are like the polar opposites of each other. We have a safe movie, like the Stein's;Gate movie, that doesn't try to mess with the conclusion of the series and doesn't add to much to the story either. Then we have a movie that takes risks, like the Madoka Magica movie, that not only turns the ending of the series on it's head but it's also a sequelbait. Overall, when I first watched the Stein's;Gate movie I was disappointed in how little it offered as I expected a much grander storyline that would actually be impossible to tell outside of a second season. But as I rewatched the movie I let go of my previous expectations and discovered that this movie is actually pretty nice. However, when I rewatched Rebellion, I counted the time wasted on few particular segments and felt my loathing for this movie grow. I think that if the storyline of a series has reached a satisfying conclusion, it shouldn't be expanded upon with a movie because it can ruin the franchise for some people.

Someone might mention SAO ALfheim Arc (Does that count as a second season, I heard many people refer to it as s2.)

Alfheim arc was not season 2. it was still season 1. if anyone STILL says that after the current season is even named SAO 2, then they're an idiot. hell, Aniplex even put out a statement saying that the Alfheim arc was still considered season 1.

that being said... the Alfheim arc didn't ruin SAO. what did happen was people's expectations and hype ruined SAO for them.

I liked the ALfheim arc more than the first SAO arc. I feel sometimes I'm alone in that opinion, but it was just more enjoyable to watch for some reason.

But SAO II, to me, is better than both of them.

The moment Gen Urobuchi and Production I.G. stepped down, Psycho Pass 2 was already dead.

Does the second half of the Usagi Drop manga count? I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that it never should of happened. It's the only show I'm desperately hoping WON'T get a second season, so that fucked up Hikari Genji situation never hits television. And this is coming from someone who usually loves messed up twists...but there are some things you just don't touch. A loving father-daughter relationship is one of them,

Well... in a sense... it was still a loving father-daughter relationship.

Darker than Black - I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it ruined the series, but it was disappointing compared to the amazing first season.

No, but I think LH2 will redeem itself. Problem is the pacing. Like season 1 we're off to a slow start with lots of setup and explaining. Now we get the episodes that will tell us what happened with the second story, while it could have run concurrently. Then the story will have been set and I think/hope it will get better and connect more to the ending of season 1.

Also did like Kokoro connects OVA's and although it was told in way to few episodes Iori's reaction was pretty much in line with her character.

Strange that no one mentioned Zero no Tsukaima which got worse with every passing season.

Just finished Darker than Black yesterday. Totally not going to watch Season 2 now. Thanks for the heads up. >.>

As for sequels that suck, I'm not fond of Psycho Pass 2, albeit I loved the first season.

I didn't mean it like that. The way I see it is that Daikichi still loves Rin like a daughter, and his acceptance of her... love... isn't romantic. It's him saying "Alright, Rin, whatever you say" until, eventually, he cuts her loose. As in "go find someone closer to your own age to have a romantic relationship, not an old guy like me". The story kind of... faltered after the timeskip... and while the ending was mainly there for the shock value, I liked how it ended. At least in the way I see it--if any of that makes any sense.
