Television is dying, so it wouldn't be worthwhile for CR to put in all that money to make it an official channel.

CR doesn't have original series. They'll just be like any other retail stores. Like a paper company such a Dunder Mifflin.

Sure it'd be a nice change to know you can turn on the TV and watch anime anytime of the day. Instead of waiting for Adult Swims 6 hours a week of it.

But I agree with some of the people here. CR is nice because if you do need to stop in the middle of an episode and do something IRL then just pause the episode and come back later. Pros and Cons to an Anime TV Channel

No, Funimation and Anime Network already tried all that being a channel on a cable provider and they were the lowest ranking paid for channels available so they got relegated to a PPV status or just went to an online streaming service.
Many channels have aired anime blocks, much akin to CN, and they usually last a few months, or at least the 3rd repeat, before they go back to cheap to produce mindless junk about red necks doing stuff or underage girls getting pregnant.

I can already turn on my TV and watch anime anytime of the day. It is my main reason for owning a roku 3. Not only this, I can travel and plug into the same content I could be watching on said TV (so long as I can get the internet). I cut the cord long ago. I pay for access to the internet and I have a crunchyroll subscription. I also have Amazon instant video (part of my prime subscription). There are other various free channels.

Anyway, to answer the original question, NO, crunchyroll should not try to become a regular tv channel. It would be pointless in this day and age. While I don't believe broadcast networks are going anywhere, I do believe cable tv networks will need to change their business models and allow people to pay for only the channels they want instead of a bundle of crap they have no intention of ever watching. This is no different from how on demand streaming services work now.

If they branch out into it maybe?

But a full conversion... HELL NO.

Nope. I enjoy not ever needing a TV.

No, that'd be going backward.

Tbh, I would love for that to happen, but I probably wouldn't watch it. I'd rather have the option to be able to pay to get rid of the ads than sit through commercials. Plus, I find it harder (not impossible, but a lot more annoying than a computer) to read subtitles on a TV.

It would be nice but it's the whole having to wait and having anime coming out at the same time that would mess it up

No. They'd be the new kid trying to make headway in an already over-saturated market. Quite the opposite of where they are now, in fact, being one of the first and most well-known of the anime streaming sites to have gone full-out legit. . .

I wish it was, and think it's a good idea, but not sure how profitable it would be. Not sure why anyone would say no, unless they're the elitist pay to watch types. It's not like it would effect them if it was a branch instead of a full conversion.

I think it should! Funimation used? to have a channel. They could just show anime all day, and all night.
