No, it probably wouldn't work. People like the internet. No one really watches tv. And they'd have to figure out what shows to show when and it'd be complicated.

NOPE. It's already got paid features as is. It doesn't need to be a PPV channel on cable.

i think it should be a channel. but its most likely they wont show what you like. and i would want it included in a cable package and not have to pay for it separately

Too much overhead and associated costs with having an official television channel. International logistics would probably be rough too, and many don't even have cable nowadays.

It's a nice notion, and sounds cool, but I don't think its a good idea, less profit means less anime licenses obtained.

Doesn't have to be CR, but an all-anime channel on TV would be dope IMO.

I think yes but that's because I actually pay my TV licence and would like some incentive to get the family around the TV again for something that's not game of thrones.

No, Crunchyroll is perfect.

The anime, I want, anytime I want to watch it. Without commercials to boot!

I like it as it is. For me, I don't like television schedules, they don't work for me. I like to watch things when I feel like it. I don't even watch shows on actual television anymore.

It would be a bad idea on a lot of levels.

First you would have to catch the broadcast or end up missing your show, people with inflexible schedules would have a hard time seeing it.
Second you would be at the mercy of the cable companies and each time anime has attempted to get its own channel say like Funimation it's never worked out. It would most likely end up having to special order it and be more than what you pay for here.

Third most likely commercials

Fourth you would have to deal with watching 1 episode a week of any show more than likely and wouldn't be able to "marathon" or re-watch parts unless you dvr it. Then of course you have to deal with reruns.

Fifth is you would have to deal with the FCC and the laws governing it. Net streaming has become more popular for a reason, and thats to avoid all of the above stuff.

Neon Alley tried to do a broadcast style on the net once and it didn't work out too well. Also have to remember that Crunchyroll doesn't have the rights to do whatever they wish, they just get the streaming rights and thats it. Best just to stay on the net as it is.

linrie Should Crunchyroll become an official Television Channel ?

Yes or no ? And why ?

No, that's "WHY????"
Especially in these Cord-Cutting days, when set-top boxes and streaming channels like Netflix, Hulu--and Crunchyroll--are rapidly making TV channels obsolete.
Viz's Neon Alley used to be a broadcast channel, with certain shows on at certain times once or twice a day or once a week, but...they eventually surrendered. :(

What you want is public acceptance, but you don't have to take a step backwards to get that.
(Sort of in the same spirit as "Do you think we'll ever get another dubbed series on afternoon television?")

No. Because seeing as CR has mostly subs, as Toonami has said when asked why they don't show subs, it would be really hard because the people without DVR or the ability to pause live tv (like myself) would miss out on parts of the shows.
