First off, I think it is unfair to say that any one group should be taken off of the road because of the actions of a few. So, yes, I agree with mandatory tests every year or so for them, as they are more likely to incur some medical problem that would prevent them from driving. However, I think everyone should get retested periodically.

I'm more for ALL us-citizens to take a mandatory driving test every few years (possibly 5).
Everyone gets careless, once in a while people drink while driving or when sleep-deprived (scientifically proven to be just as bad), and the same goes with people who've gotten way too comfy with their style of driving by not using their turn signals, not turning their head all the way to see their blindspots when merging (i've done this a few times and ran people off the road... they weren't too happy about it obviously). old people aren't really the issue where i live... it's the people who are semi-buff males or women with rich-bitch diva attitudes. they cut you off or tailgate you to make you go faster (even if you're in slow lane) and say "eh if he does something he's in trouble." and most don't care. |

Also shown, Driving with a cell phone in your hand can be more dangerous than driving legally intoxicated with alcohol. More likely to hit a driver in front of you.

Let them keep their licenses, but actually test them to see if they can see/hear/drive. I'd rather have them on the road then in my car. It's mean, but I just don't have the time to play a chauffeur.
