Synopsis MAL

When timid eleventh-grader and math genius Kenji Koiso is asked by older student and secret crush Natsuki to come with her to her family's Nagano home for a summer job, he agrees without hesitation.

Natsuki's family, the Jinnouchi clan, dates back to the Muromachi era (1336 to 1573), and they've all come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of the spunky matriarch of the family, Sakae. That’s when Kenji discovers his "summer job" is to pretend to be Natsuki's fiance and dance with her at the birthday celebration.

As Kenji attempts to keep up with Natsuki's act around her family, he receives a strange math problem on his cell phone which, being a math genius, he can't resist solving. As it turns out, the solution to the mysterious equation causes Oz, the program that controls nearly every aspect of life to be hacked into, it's up to Kenji and his new "family" to stop the hacker before it's too late.

I watched this last night on Toonami. I have seen it before have the Blu- ray but never semms to get stale!

So true about the merits of family and dependemce on technology!

It seemed even more revelant with the Holidays coming up!

I like the story of it and the online avatars' designs. I also tend to be able to sympathize with the MC so that probably helps xD

And now I'm reminded that I meant to read the spinoff manga but totally forgot to >.>

the last 15 minutes of that movie make the entire thing so worth it.

Is there any differences between the Japanese and Dub version?

I have the Blu-Ray Disc. It is compared to that one Digimon Movie, which I also have seen, a lot and it is well deserved if you compare scene by scene and who was behind both.

Anyways, I don't really like that movie. There is a lot of moments that feel like it tries too hard to get the audience to cheer with the cast that it came off as shallow. This isn't to ruin anyone's parade, surely I couldn't have been the only one :3, anyone? While I loved the potential themes, especially relating with family, I felt it was forced.

There was a benefit having watched it though. I started thinking about how many anime, at the end of the conflict, would go "those Americans!! grrrr!!" It is just a lazy solution for stories and way overused. It has saved me a lot of time (I don't mind a few "blaming -someone else-." I just feel I am safe to drop things when I can detect that bad story crutch).

Beautiful animation though.

It's okay as long as you're not forced to watch it more than once
