+Gripping, no-nonsense action horror excellency that's about confronting evil head-on with nowhere to run.
+Disturbing supernatural creatures designed by Hollywood special effects legend Stan Winston.
+Badass player character whose backstory is developed based on player actions, resulting in three different endings.
+Available as a free & legal download on PC.
+The main character is a Black American male named Torque, need I say more?

Sleeping Dogs-
Though all reviews and ratings consider Sleeping dogs a success in actual fact it didn't sell as well as Square was hoping.
Sleeping Dogs is probably one of the best games I've ever played and goes somewhere in my Top 10 games list, the story is compelling and the characters are alive and well developed.
so many interesting qualities and features are implemented into this one game like the fun, fresh fighting and combat system and the Chinese culture that is portrayed is spot on.
This game is a masterpiece so much so that I also purchased the Definitive Edition for my PS4.

Breakdown. Really innovative combat system for it's time, and it looked pretty good too. The story is a little convoluted, but all in all it's a wild ride with really solid sci-fi elements.

All my love for this game.

Now that's a cool game. A shooter, platformer and brawler as one.

Nier.

I think it's a wonderful game and I honestly did all four play-throughs for the complete content.

Ah! I know those two games. Resonance of Fate is pretty hard, though.

Hmhmhm. *activates Generation X powers*

Or, perhaps, the (IMO) greatest RPG series of all time (in its non-Online iteration):

Loved Phantasy Star 2. Just way ahead of its time and if not mistaken the 1st sci-fi JRPG. I mean it was released about a year after FF1. A little trivia. The game was programmed by Yuji Naka (Sonic Creator) and Designed/written by Rieko Kodona who went on to do Skies of Arcadia.

I'll give a shot out to these games

Ring of Red - different fun battle system.

I also find The Adventures of Cookie and Cream quite underrated, sadly it's 2 player only. Made by the same ppl who made Demon's Souls, From Software.

One of my all time favorite games. Simply put, it is a joy to play.

Here's an article that pretty much sums up my views on Vanquish by Platinum Games:
