That's the funniest thing I've read all day, thanks for the laugh.

I don't really mind that honestly. That's their country, their store, they can let who they want in.

We kept them in camps for 5 years, I'd be pretty pissed too.

militant homosexuals wont stop till everybody not only accept their ways but that most should applaud what they do.it was never about "rights" to begin with it is about the acceptance of society to sodomize any male at will.the gay marriage thing is a ruse to change society for the elite because if people arent having heterosexual relations then there's no healthy family and the govt and hospitals/psychiatrists and big pharma will benefit from the societal debacle.

Conspiracy much?

not much when its data to back it up.nation is basically changing its moral compass for just 2 percent of the population.its like changing english for navajo language which as you can tell does not add up

I don't think the gay marriage thing is a ruse. A ruse is where you try to mislead people about what you're aiming to accomplish. I think the whole push for gay marriage is just that...a push for gay marriage. Not some illuminati plot to get more people infected with AIDS so big pharma can sell more drugs. Also, you do realize that homosexuals are having sex with each other right now, and will continue to do so regardless of whether or not they get the right to marry, right?

I also don't think we're changing much and neither is it for just 2 percent of the population. Plenty of straight people support gay marriage. And is it really that big of a change? Several states in the US already allow for gay marriage, and so have several other countries. I have yet to hear about any societal turmoil caused in those places that have legalized it.

It has just occurred to me that this whole conspiracy nut thing you have going on is an attempt at trolling. If that is the case, then I tip my hat to you sir. Congratulations on successfully trolling me. If you are serious, then I apologize for accusing you of trolling.

So yeah, those are my thoughts.. Though Japan IS still modernizing like the rest of the world. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong and it's further along than I think.

I agree with your statement but I would say that Japan is probably one of the MOST modern countries today, arguably more advanced than the United States (Technologically). And in geopolitical terms Japan is considered to be apart of western civilization.

overall I'm surprised to hear that Japan has a problem with homosexuals since they have such a high proportion of Atheists/Non practitioners of organized religion compared to any other country.

As for the OP I think back to samurai champloo (what a great show ) they explain the history of homosexuality in Japan

Honestly I have never had a single thought that Anime, yet alone Japan, was in the slightest against gays. There are so many anime shows out there with gay characters not to mention the vast majority of the BL genres! (loooove) I feel as though a lot of people put our american ways out into other parts of the world because that is all we know.
Just my opinion, but i feel as though Americans are the farthest away from learning to accept gays and bisexuals

I love Japan. I know plenty of Japanese people, from Japan, and they love America. But am I going to sit here and believe every single Japanese person is accepting of whites and foreigners? Hell no.

I understand it, but is it right? Probably not. But it happens.

You are aware that Japan still has paper offices and limited computers in schools? Not to even touch on payment systems or logistics.

Edit: I wrote a post to perrandy, don't know if he read it...look, I was cynical in my post and ridiculed you...I want to desist that...I'll just say...I really don't agree with your stance on these matters, but you are of course free to feel the way you do about these things, but your views on the matter...your first post was talking about stuff that was straight up conspiracy theories. I mean, ridiculous kinds of conspiracy theories.
you are free to believe or not and so am free too to believe whatever i want but ridiculing people or calling names without argument is just petty and cruel and it also will make some people believe that the person that you are having a quarrel or debate with might have a point or two.at least i offered two sources/link for what i believe.

Is downright silly.

looking at the laws is pointless. the laws don't mean jack.... .
have to look at how people in those countries treat minority groups, e.g. homosexuals.

I mean sure, in western societies, the laws say you can't not hire someone due to sexulity, ethnicity gender etc. but who can actually prove that they weren't hired due to their sexuality? the employers can just say they found a more "suitable" person as an excuse.

______

what we should look at is comparisons of homophobia-initiated crimes in comparison. are there more homophobic related attacks in western societies compared to Asian societies?

Do people in Asia hold up signs, "God hates faggots"?

Are there higher gay teenage suicide rates in Western societies in comparison to Asian societies?

______

Yeah, there's now laws/rights in Asian countries for gays, but I believe the people in asia have always treated gays better than in western societies according to statistics and whatnot. (The reality might the same).

It all boils down to the discretion of each community in each society in the countries.

You can't just say, "Oh, our country has equal laws here... therefore more rights are given to gays"... it doesn't work like that, imo.

P.S. Am not aiming this reply at any person in particular... just my opinion in response to the topic.
i dont judge you nor condemn you in any way or shape i just think that this type of behavior shouldnt be shoved thru the collective throats of the masses.in truth i have found a few homosexuals that have been nice and compassionate towards other people and i dont know you but you could be one of those people because your paragraph shows maturity and respect and for that thank you

The US is not progressive. Certain states are, and regions, but the country as a whole is definitely not progressive.
