I prefer android solely because you get more options for customizing it.
They have cute theme apps that you can play around with but i guess the only problem is that it adds up to the used up memory. *cries

Android

I like apple's ui better, but android is just better as a whole, I feel like apple is just not worth it anymore.

Android by far.

One of the major difficulties is that I find Linux the best environment for me to work in terms of cost and performance (i.e. Mac OS X is too expensive and Microsoft-based software, which Windows has a lot of, gets in the way a lot--e.g., having to install Cygwin just to have a UNIX shell) and the fact that iOS cannot connect to any Linux machine because it *must* go through iTunes is a pain to deal with. With both my Android devices, I can just drag/drop which is simple and easy to use.

moving past that, Android has a lot of nuts and bolts I like. For example, being able to set your own default programs, which why this isn't a feature on iOS is beyond me (or, at least wasn't, back when I had an iPhone). I appreciate that Google Play informs you what information apps are trying to access, e.g. something shady like Facebook wanting access to SMS. The overall interface is far more robust, especially with how easy it is to go between apps and quit them with just a few swipes. A standardized "back" button is fantastic. I use my tablet (Nexus 7) for reading, and I find that Google Books is an extremely good reader even if Google Play's library isn't as good as Kindle (which isn't bad--Android devices can access Kindle's library too).

And last but not least--I had my iPhone for two years (and only that long for my contract to be up for renewel) and the phone got extremely buggy due to updates. This became extremely bad when it managed to get something like a virus (I assume it was just a bug that caused massive instability) and was *only* using a Linux machine at that time. When I finally got Windows, iTunes noticed the architecture was bad and ended up just doing a clean install automatically--it did so without even accessing if I wanted to keep my music. However, going four months when an extremely buggy phone was *awful*, and even when it got back up and running to acceptable quality the new iOS was extremely slow, By comparsion, my Android phone (HTC One X) has ran extremely smoothly for three years, even with consistent updates.

There are only three things I miss about iOS: How voicemail is handled. I know that Android can also have voicemail saved like "voice" messages a la SMS; I just haven't gone through the rigmamore. Second, Apple's music player is far and away the best app for playing music--just everything about it was great (probably because Apple made music players before smartphones). Lastly, the app selection for iOS is better as its more standard.

In the end, for me at least, Android wins in what I can only describe as a curbstomp battle.

Android, cause I can do more with it. But I always recommend an iPhone to less tech savy friends and family.

IOS because I had an Android and it sucked so bad. Lagged so much and the fact the battery comes out is garbage. One drop and the damn thing can fall out and snap the cover for it. I also hate the way it looks and the fact you can't trust many of the apps that can be installed on it. I also can't put my music on an Android because I only use Apple's music file. I don't like mp3's. m4p/m4a is a much better quality file than mp3's ever will be. One major flaw of all Androids is that they can't have a The Anime Network app which automatically means all Androids blow! Proof of no app for Android is here: http://www.theanimenetwork.com/Whats-On/Anime-Network-on-Mobile/Android and here: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=anime%20network&c=apps

My computer is an Apple as well which is so much better and easier than Windows ever will be. No a gamer so don't care about that.

Apple is what I am used to. I picked up an Android phone that a girl dropped the other day. Couldn't even figure out how to make it light up. There were no buttons. Tapping the screen didn't work. Shaking it didn't work. How the hell do people even use junk like that?

I never really saw much a difference between Windows/Mac OS X in terms of ease of use. Like, what exactly is easier to use?
