My dad likes keeping the thermostat at a cool 67 during the winter. Negotiations were attempted, but all failed for higher temps... I'd like for it to be 72 haha. It's in the 30s outside, so I guess this is good enough.

Not having a place of my own, I'm learning from my parents. I've noticed both my Mom and my step Mom like to crank the heat up in their houses around this time of year, and my both my Dad and step Dad yell at 'em for it. At my Mom's house, they like to keep it around 70-75, and at my Dad's, around 80.

But I bought my own little heater for my room, and it works wonderfully. I have the biggest bedroom in the house, and it can warm it up pretty fast with the door closed. I need it especially; I'm stationed in the basement and it is so cold down there.

I use no thermostat. When it gets colder I fire up one or more of my computers to crunch BOINC... The amount of running PCs is related to how cold it is outside. Right now it's been hovering in the 40's and 50's (F) so I only keep two or three machines running. When it was getting into the 20's and 30's, three or four PCs are going.
The goal is to keep it around 65 degrees....
It's cheaper than using the wall heaters in the apartment... When I used to run those for only two or three hours a day my electrical bill would go up over $125 a month.

60~68 Fahrenheit. I like it when it's cold at night because I can sleep better. But when it's day time, it sucks the life out of me. Our heater is set to 69 so it barely goes off...

I cool down my thermostat, because it has too much of a temper.

I'm a fan of the cold, since it goes well with my cold heart xD I keep mine around 67, sometimes I'll turn it off and wrap myself up in a blanket instead. But worse case I have two electric heaters just in case I DO get cold.

So. For those of us, further up past the equator, it is getting pretty cool out...

What temperature do you keep your thermostat at during the colder months? If it isn't quite where you want it to be, what temperature would you ideally keep your thermostat at?

I really do not do well with the cold at all.. And I have taken somewhat of a disliking to it within the last year or so. Typically, so far, we usually keep the thermostat around 70 when everyone is awake.. Sometimes I turn it up to 71-72 if I am going to take a shower.. Believe it or not, I am actually keeping it somewhat cooler than I did last year lmao..

I light my fireplace and wrap blankets around myself to form a cocoon on my computer chair usually. I don't touch that evil thing because it's evil, it says 22 C, but it obviously feels like 5 C.

if I had my way with the world I'd have it at 60 degrees. Get cold, wear comfortable clothing. I envy people that live in the north.

I usually sleep with my windows open during the winter so it can be cold in my room. Being cold with warm clothing is great.
