Ok, I managed to figure it out. I had to delete the Crunchyroll application data from my PS4 and download the app again. I'm able to watch stuff again. huzzah.

I'm having the same error on PS3, currently. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and still no success. Has anyone else found a solution/possible fix?

I'm having the same issue. Was working fine earlier and now I get the error. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, updated it and the same error. I deactivated the device from my account and reactivated it with no change.

Have you tried deleting any app data from your console's hard drive, in addition to the steps listed?

I'm not sure how to delete app data. I checked and I didn't see any app data on the hard drive after I removed the app

I'm having the same problem on both ps3 and ps4. I deleted the application and reinstalled it and no luck.

Not sure what you mean by "delete application data" specifically. Any instructions on that would be appreciated, assuming it's different than simply deleting the application itself.

I'm not too familiar with how the PS3/4 handles app data, but I know that apps on the Xbox store data on the HDD in a separate file from the app itself, perhaps a system cache on the Sony consoles?

I too am having this issue on my PS3, the video won't load and I get an Error Message
"There was an unknown video player error. Please go back and try again."
It's been like this since last night too.

Same issue here, PS3 and PSVita both have unknown video player error, menu updates just fine and I can scroll through my queue but cannot play episodes. Hopefully it is just a patch issue.

e: also tried uninstalling, restarting system, reinstalling with no luck.
