Having the same issue with the ps4. I've contacted crunchy roll and I'm waiting on a reply for the issue. I Uninstaller the app and even cleared my cache, nothing seems to be working.

I reported this to the devs. Sorry about the inconvenience caused by the downtime of the apps.

Hopefully someone is working on it.

Well this is day 3... THREE! crunchyroll. This really is unacceptable. I have really never complained before about the cultural service even when you were having all kinds of buffering problems throughout the two & a half years I've been a member. Start putting the money you get for memberships into your service for streaming you are going to start losing a lot of members and people will not resubscribe if this keeps happening. There are other websites out there that get the stuff for free.

I was having a similar issue where my AppleTV would not play Crunchyroll episodes and just said error loading content or whatever. I am also using Time Warner Cable. Since my phone also didn't work unless I switched from wifi to data, I tried changing the DNS server and it works perfectly now. It might be possible Time Warner's default DNS servers are blocking Crunchyroll for some reason, but I switched to Google DNS (I bet OpenDNS would work too) and the episode loaded immediately. tldr: Try changing your DNS server to something like Google DNS or OpenDNS.

I just switched my router to use Google DNS and now everything appears to be working properly again. I recall Time Warner having issues with DNS servers back in the day - used to not be able to get into the PSN network - and this looks like it is more of the same. I only gave it a passing thought until AdmiralSam mentioned it (service works fine one day and not the next - DNS is not my first suspect). But sure enough bad DNS strikes again. Seems like swapping DNS servers (if possible) may be worth a shot for everybody.

I would love to be able to watch shows on my PS3 again, especially since I'll be on vacation soon.

Okay the DNS solve the problem so for anybody having a similar issue change your DNS in your Apple TV and iPhone to 8.8.8.8.
That is googles free open DNS. It's working now so I'm not sure what the story is. Is it bright house DNS servers or is it crunchyrolls issue

That fixed my phones problem, thank you. Now I just need my PS3 to be able to play videos and then I'm all set.

Is there anything in my router settings that would help us on our ps3-4 issues ?

EDIT!
Ok so I went into my ps3's connection settings and set the DNS to that 8.8.8.8 as posted above to see what would happen and now its working again ...!!
Not sure how or if this will effect anything else on the system in terms of online features but it suprisingly worked.

Anyone know a similar workaround for unrooted android? I believe OpenDNS and Google DNS require the android device to be rooted, as far as the instructions I could find stated.

Sadly I can't do the whole google dns to my phone, and my kindle fire hd 7" it doesn't seem to work with.

BUT! the Google DNS worked with my Viera Connect on my blueray player.

It's not a permanent fix so I hope they will still look into the problem.

Hope this temp fix works for others out there,

I picked up an android app called DNSet from the Google Play Store. The free version doesn't let you set your own DNS, but defautly uses 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 (acording to the developers website). I make no guarantees on safety of the app, but its no root and seems to be working. I just got Log Horizon to start playing.

I'm using a Nexus 7 WiFi (2012), BTW, if anyone is interested.

I tried the 8.8.8.8 on my iPod and android tablet and got episodes to play but it didn't work for my PS3. I looked up some things online and found another DNS 208.67.222.222 and it seems to be working. Hopefully this helps.

I really don't want to change the DNS..... And lol it wouldn't work for my kindle anyways.
I hope for the future, Crunchyroll hires some people that work weekends just in case an issue like this happens again.
As much as I like football....I'd rather watch anime. -cries- I can't wait until baseball starts.

Thank you! I've been looking for something or other for 2 days.... just got Time warner cable [came from u-verse]... and that's when it seemed to stop responding to all the wireless devices other then computers\laptops. Read your post about DNSet google play store.... picked up "wifi settings" google play store.... works perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you .

devices on wifi are various LG and Apple products
