It's called Nihilism, nothing happens to you after death, absolutely nothing.

I didn't know there was a term for that.. I guess I'm one of those. #Nihilist life!

As the term refers to,
(Scroll down to see why I crossed this out)
I do not believe in God, Afterlife, or meanings of life, and I do quite frankly think those beliefs are meaningless.
I do not believe in ghosts, spirits, demons, souls, or none of that supernatural-lingo.

I've heard people question how people like me live, and I can answer that no different than anyone else.
Just because I do not believe in a higher being doesn't mean that I am a bad person. I still obey rules and follow the law, I'm as nice as I can be given the situation, and I do become sad when people close to me are hurt or die.

What you could say I believe in when someone dies is that their consciousness just disappears. Just like that, they seize to be.

Many people don't realize that there are more than one type of Athiest. I'm what's referred to as an Agnostic Athiest. I don't say "there is no god...no heaven...no hell", I say "there may be a god or there may not be...there may be a heaven or there may not be...there may be a hell or there may not be". Agnostics don't deny the existence of a supreme beig or an afterlife, we're just not sure if it's "god" or "heaven/hell". The bible is so full of contradictions and holes in story plots it raises many doubts. Agnostics believe when questions are there it's time to open our minds to other possibilities instead of just believing. "Blind faith" is dangerous in the hands of degenerate priests, greedy televangelists and the such who expect themselves to be treated as go themselves.

My personal belief on the afterlife is simple. Maybe there's a heaven and maybe there's a hell; so as long as I do right by the people around me and try to be the best me I can be, there'll be no worries in the future. If not it couldn't hurt.

Nihilism is more like nothing has meaning at all. Including morals, laws, authority and all that stuff. I don't think you exactly classify as a nihilist

Malnutrition? No. I was joking around a tad bit.

There're a lot of grey areas involved in trying to define atheism specifically, but as far as I'm aware, the most commonly accepted meaning is something like "the belief that a higher power does not exist". While the term "atheism" can be extended to include some varieties of agnosticism as well as people who are just plain unfamiliar with the idea of a higher power, common parlance recognizes atheists as people who will tell you definitively that no, there is no god. An agnostic, by contrast, is someone who will tell you that we don't have the proof necessary to confirm or deny the existence of a higher power. Like atheism, agnosticism encompasses a wide variety of subtly different metaphysical stances, but the general idea is "we don't know", as opposed to atheism's more assertive "there's nothing there".

I consider atheism a religion, as it takes a decisive stance on the question of whether there's a higher power. I don't consider agnosticism a religion, as it is simply a suspension of judgement.

As for myself, as per the OP's request, I self-identify as ignostic, meaning that I think that the meaning attributed to words like "god" is too varied and nebulous to be seriously discussed as a whole. Religion consists of a number of largely disparate metaphysical topics that we often see as linked due to our lore on the matter addressing several of them at once, usually through a narrative. "God" can mean too many things to different people to be really useful as a word. Ultimately, my stance in a more broader sense is weak agnosticism: we have no proof of any of these beliefs, but someday, we might, and I'll reserve my judgement until then: it's always more interesting to try and see things from every side than to choose one.

There is no creator "God" . We are just human. Darwinism i guess is the popular notion of how we came to be. I personally think its a little trickier than that.

I am atheist

What I believe:

There is no god or any sort of higher being like that. It doesn't exist until you can prove that it exists.
Who knows what happens when you die? Nobody has died and came back to tell us how it was (near death experience is not dying; death is a point of no return). You'd have to die yourself to see how after-death is like.

if you are atheist what do you believe?
what do you think happens to us after we die? or is it that you believe we are not supposed to know what happens to us after we die?

Not atheist or agnostic, but usually it goes from bones to dust. And even if it was nothing, then I guess it'd be an eternal sleep.

But, I saw a ghost (front view, not peripherals and not for a second, for a good minute), so I just roll with that, we turn into ghost.

I believe in you, and in every human being on the planet. I believe in what i can see, and in what i can touch, whatever that is. If you can prove it to me, i'll believe.

After we die, and after our brain has stopped working, there'll be nothing more. We will rot and be food to whatever eats rotten meat underneath the earth.

I'm Agnostic, not an Atheist, but in the most basic terms Atheism is the belief in the absence of gods, and as such, there would be no ruling power other than natural forces explainable by science.
