I used to be one of those who need to go to a Steamaholic Anonymous meeting due to my inability to control myself from buying steam games on impulse and my ridiculous competence in finding the best deals on steam games. Now I can say that I'm fairly better due to my recent to anime which has not costed me that much (I have only bought 5 anime blurays, subscription on crunchyroll, and 2 posters.) Seriously, I do not want to know how much I actually spend on buying all those games 'cause I know that staggering number would give me a shock worse than [insert your favorite anime character] got [insert something terrible] by [insert the name of that one evil a-hole.]

So, is anyone here who has or used to have an addiction afflicted by the vapor god Gaben? If so, how was the moment you realized you have a problem? For me it was when I got the Game Industry Guardian badge for having more than 1000 games in my library....then I asked myself: "Now what?"

Also, I have a lot of spare steam keys of games I already have so if I find your experience with steam addiction "amusing", I might make it worse by sending you a key. Sorry not sorry.

It's hard to resist the deals like I want to play so many games but I end up not playing them all. I just decided to cut it cold turkey so I don't go broke and try to avoid looking at the steam store page. Gaben blesses us and forsakes us all

I tend to get some things that are on my wishlist when they're on sale (and before a big sale like the one coming up I tend to add things I like to my wishlist just in case they'll be a part of the good sales), but I don't overdo it. I have enough money sinks that I don't need that as another one. =P

Lol, I just bought the Humongous Entertainment pack about... 10 minutes ago xD
It was on sale for $25 and I wanted to replay all my childhood games (mostly Putt-Putt) :P
Right now I've got 324 games owned.
Steam sales and Humble Bundle kill me...

I can tell I'm walking down a dangerous road. I have over 110 games now, and I know it only gets worse from there!

I'm not addicted to steam, although I do enjoy steam to help me relax and sweat a bit. Relieve some stress.

WHO DOESN'T BUY THIS?!?!?!? What child born in the early 90s, anyway.

I got it full price as soon as I heard about it, Pajama Sam was an integral part of my fucking childhood.

Anyway, I was lucky that I don't think I ever got the chance to become a steam addict (aside from the Humongous Ent. pack). During my first steam sale, I accidentally spent $200+ without even realizing it. As soon as I saw my bill (that I had to use my savings to pay) I swore to be careful about my steam purchases. To this day I only have 253 games, of which I've played almost half! That's not bad, right?

Aww yeah! I was more of a Putt-Putt person,
only ever played the first Pajama Sam (at least that I can remember)
but that'll change soon :P
Also, I was born mid 90's but our family bought (and still has) a bunch of HE games on disc when I was young.

I've never heard of any of those games but they certainly look dated, haha! What kinds of games are they?

Mostly (super awesome) point-and-click adventure games :P
I'm sure they won't be as fun as I remember them, but It'll be fun to
play them again anyway :D
