Go to river. you cam swim more then 5 min

All I see is a boost in the public pool industry, which leads to an increase in power usage by pools that need better filters.

Of course, this would also lead to a boom in the private pool market, leading to more and cheaper pools. However, because of the need for more and cheaper pools, average pool quality would go down, leading to more pool-related accidents.

This would lead to stricter pool regulations, not to mention increased taxes on pools (and water). Unfortunately, that means when the boom is over, pools will be worth much less, and the pool industry will plummet (the regulations and taxes will make it to hard to work in the pool industry, for the returns you'd get).

As people leave the pool industry, or go bankrupt trying to continue in the pool industry, thousands of jobs that were gained in the boom, and many that were already there before the boom, will be lost. All the while, water usage will be increasing because of the amount of pools.

I could go on, but I think this is enough for now.

Also, I've never studied economy, this is all mere speculation from a (not exactly) normal person.

Don't know about him but the shower is a good place to have your, "Nobody bother me!" time. I stay in for around an hour with most of it just kind of standing there thinking about stuff while the water runs all down my face and what not.

Then of course gotta add fifteen minutes for the pre-shower dump.

I really question people who shower less than 5 minutes.

While I like the idea of the 5 minute shower, I'm quite passionate about freedom so government regulation of showers isn't something I'd stand for.

So yea, I just saw a add from a government agency in Sweden that wants people to not shower more then 5 min per day... For the simple reason that it saves energy. And they're also sending out free clocks that you can use to know when you've showered for more then 5 min

Anyhow, here's their add https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pTqf-ImJkA (99% of it is in English so you'll understand it)

Hence my question of this thread

If the country you live in enforced a law where where showering more then 5 min would be illegal and stopped the water supply to be delivered to your home if you've showered for more then 5 min. Then how would you react?

I don't see that being possible where I'm located at cause our water comes from underground right by our house, most people have their own separate well

Screw that. If that is actively enforced, I'm going to be a major smartass by getting my bath water from one of my city's local springs, heating the damn water on my stove or woodburner, and taking a bath/bucket shower with it. Then I'd be like, "Ha! I saved more energy than simply taking a conventional 5 minute shower, yet I enjoyed longer than the allotted time!"

EDIT: I'd also push for the law to be overturned, because that'd be major BS where I live, especially since the energy companies in my area overprice.
