REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE

Would it be possible for some of you TWC customers who have the issue and have not changed to an alternative DNS server to open up the command line tool of windows, run the command "nslookup" and give us the IP number reported there?

I confirmed that the app on the iPhone ran once WiFi was turned off (streaming on 4G T-Mobile). We decided to change the DNS for each device (not the router) from a local to an open DNS. The app now runs from the iPad and Samsung TV on WiFi at home, this way.

I regret to inform that pretty much every WiFi I attempted around town met with the same issue, and since it isn't feasible to request from every outlet to change their DNS settings (I guess Bright House has a bit of a monopoly down here) I hope this error gets resolved soon, for CR's sake.

You could help us by finding out which of the TWC DNS servers does not work properly. See my post above.
They aren't obliged to help us, if we manage to get the issue across to them. But we'll at least try.

The simplified answer is that DNS is like the electronic phone book for the internet. Your computer gives a domain name, and the domain name server responds with the IP address that is currently being used to connect to it.

As you might expect, if for some reason the DNS doesn't respond with the proper IP address, things aren't going to work well, if at all.

I've noticed the same thing on both my ps4 and my iPad, thought maybe the subscription expired but nope, checked the router but nope, re-installed the app and nothing, not a HUGE problem, but maybe someone should be made aware the problem still exists for some
