Agreed, lived in Latin America for 6 months for that reason and would have stayed longer if it wasn't for a lack of job opportunities

I don't see the need to open up to people. We are born alone and we will die alone. There's no logic in getting chummy with people when our destiny is to simply die, therefore obviously not knowing anything anymore.
But since, until I die, I'm reliant on the human race (unfortunately), I tolerate people, but to this date, nobody has been important enough to me that I feel the need to burden myself by interacting with others. If they were to make contact with me first, I'd give them 60 seconds or so to make an impression, but I won't go out of my way to strike up a conversation with others first.

i used to think that way, but people can be pretty fun other perspectives are fascinating, and people can make you laugh. And if you're gonna use logic, why do anything at all? Science says everything we do is futile
