Right now I'm most excited about the new Digimon season, I guess. Though anxious might be the better word since Sailor Moon Crystal didn't exactly live up to my expectations. Stop messing with my childhood, Toei!

I'm really looking forward to the new Digimon season, too. But I can't really think about how it is going to continue the series where it left off (everyone having a Digimon).

I think Sailor Moon Crystal is very well done. It surprised me, that Toei managed to do it that good. I haven't read the manga, but i heard that they are following it panel by panel, so that would make it a good adaption for me.

I think I'm most excited about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Season 2, just because I know it won't be bad.

Yeah, Sailor Moon Crystal is a decent adaptation, but that is pretty much it.
I grew up with it, I've watched the first anime countless times on TV, I've read the manga and it is probably the reason I got into anime. I was therefore really excited when I've heard of a new adaptation!

What bugs me sooooooo much about it, is that it can't compete with a lot of other anime I watched back to back with it, animationwise. Free looked great, Glasslip as well, Hanayamata was incredibly beautiful and I feel like a terrible person that my first reaction to the first 2 minutes of the 2nd Zankyou no Terror episode was pretty much "This looks stunning".
My first reaction to SMC was more like "huh. I thought we had already figured out that planets are globes and not discs." and it continued like that. The bluray version looks better, I'll admit that, but that isn't so hard either and it is still no competition for any of the shows I named above. The only reason that SMC looks as bad as it does is that Toei knows that it'll sell no matter how much they mess up and the same goes for Digimon. Amagi Brilliant park for example has a pretty young and inexperienced team as well, but they are doing a great job.

What I had wished for is an adaptation of Sailor Moon that takes my breath away as much as KimiUso did, because I couldn't wish for anything less for a franchise that is so dear to me. Same goes for Digimon and I hope they never get the idea of rebooting "Rose of Versailles"!

My fangirl-rage carried me away, I'm sorry!

Ehhh I'll take what comes, but Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma could make a really good anime if done right.

Probably Ass Class (yes, I will only call it that) because it's Seiji Kishi directing and that is pure awesomeness in itself. Also amazing plot synopsis, I am hyped as all hell. Plus Digimon tri for obvious nostalgic reasons.

An anticipation list would imply I have expectations. I don't go into anime with expectations... But then there's Dog Days'' and I can throw that principle out of the window!

If I may, Clannad & Clannad After Story over Say I Love You - there is more emotional investment in the plot/characters. Toradora is another good anime that would be similar to those.

If you liked Trinity Seven, maybe you'd like Majimoji Rurumo. Date A Live isn't bad either, although I haven't completed the second season.

Seriously though, give When They Cry aka Higurashi, a try. It is an excellent horror anime! Go sub, the dub is awful.
