Just finished this show and hole crap was it amazing. Alot of psychological mystery shows have alot of "what if's" and theories and questions, but not many answers, which annoys me.

But ergo proxy concluded every question you had in the series, I found it phenomenal.

Could anyone suggest any anime similar to ergo proxy ? with some of these genres Dark / post apocalyptic / cyberpunk ( i dont mind ) / psychological / mystery

A fellow Ergo Proxy fan! Cheers!! o/

I've been thinking a lot about similiar anime - I guess Psycho Pass kinda fits the dark, utopian-esque theme, but season 2 so far's been a bit of a letdown. Could just watch season 1, though.

Also, Darker than Black is pretty cool although way more straightforward - it's a bit like if Joss Whedon made an anime.

If you're interested in total mindfudgery, Serial Experiments Lain might be up your alley. I've also heard good things about an anime called Texhnolyze, but I have yet to watch it myself.

Hi, looks like you've received a couple of good replies. I'm going ahead and closing this thread because we actually have a special thread just for requesting recommendations. If you want additional suggestions pleas ask in the Recommend Me an Anime thread. (It's "stickied" near the top of the Anime forum)
