Alas, I only have enough free time to do four or five episodes at a time, but I think I have pre-conditioned myself to do it that way, since ... well, how many anime episodes do you think fit on a (normal) DVD? Heh.

I rather binge watch. Like right now I can't wait for the next episode of Trinity Seven. I binge watched Hunter X Hunter and One Piece. I have been trying to find great anime that have over 25 episodes out already.

I don't really have the time to binge watch, but even if I did I think I'd still prefer week to week. There are some anime that I probably would've liked better if I had binged them because they either started off slow or they had some really unsatisfying episodes. It makes me appreciate the ones that are consistently good.

I'll simply keep watching until ive had my fill and then watch something different. Theres no point burning yourself out. If you watch too much in a row you risk the chance of not enjoying it so much any more

I love having an entire show to blow through at my own pace, but I also like keeping up with ongoing shows to be a part of its discussion.

Binge watching is the only way i watch an anime i really cant stand the suspense and cliff hangers whenever an episode is finished.

I watch current anime week-by-week, as it's easier to carve out an hour or so each day than it is to carve out six or twelve hours. That goes double if by my wife and I are watching a series... because that means weekends, and our weekends are frequently full. It also lets me keep up with the forum discussions, and that's a good part of the fun/interest for me.

Older anime, sometimes I binge, sometimes I watch a couple of episodes a day, it just depends. Even if I am binging, I often tend to slow down to a couple per day (or morning/afternoon) towards the end of a cour because otherwise the feels just build up too much. I get that some people don't like waiting and don't like the cliff hangers... but, week-by-week is how the shows were designed to be watched.

I binged the Kara no Kyoukai series over the past couple of days... I was going to watch one a day but the first movie was so good I couldn't help myself, and now I feel the anime void for the first time in about 3 years.

But on topic, I think I'll be skipping this season and binging once the next starts as I'm entering my final semester at uni in a couple of weeks, and need the time I'd spend watching 10-15 shows to actually do important stuff haha.

Depends.

If the plot is complex, then I definitely prefer to binge watch because it makes remembering the smaller details a lot easier.

Been marathoning Hunter x Hunter for the last week and I figured something.

Binge watching a long Shonen is like eating a bag of your favorite potato chips; you don't get much out of a single one, so you always end up taking a whole bunch in one sitting. You can't just stop yourself since the bag is right in front of you and, before you know it, you're done with it.

I feel like this question gets asked weekly. Not a bad thing I suppose.

I binge watch 99% of shows. It just makes more sense to me. By the time I wait for the next episode a week later, the emotional punch is gone and more than likely I forget what the hell happened.

I think the last show I waited every week to watch was Kuroko's Basketball season 2 simply because I HAD to see the epic playing that awaited me. It was like a drug. I need my weekly fix of lightning eyes basketball playing.

To me, the wait is part of the anime. This is also the reason that I can't read books.

Do you guys like watching an on going anime, or would you rather wait till it's finished so you can binge watch it?

Just wondering what your opinions on this are.

I honestly rarely ever watch an on going anime unless I absolutely love the series. I usually wait till it has finished to watch it. I absolutely hate the waiting game, binge watching feels so good and you can watch at your own pace.

Binge watching all the way! The only thing that sucks is that you go through it so quickly and the feeling after you finish it is usually an empty not knowing what to do with your life kinda feeling.

Although I still watch ongoing series and the waiting game does suck really bad.

I don't watch what is currently on in Japan, so yeah: loving the binge watching on all episodes released on shows that I am interested in seeing! That, and NO MORE CLIFFHANGERS. Can't handle being impatient... Unless it is something that never has a proper end, in which case, .
