Hey so I'm thinking of buying Project D. I have seen some game play but not sure if i want to invest in it. Just wondering if its actually worth it or not. I would like some first hand opinions, good or bad?

Assuming you mean Project D [Online] --

I had fun with it. The servers are rather empty, but I ground (grinded as others say) to ~30 which is when quests stop being available. The first week or so people were very chatty. Honestly, if you don't expect much from a one guy effort (one developer) - you could enjoy your time. I'd wait for a sale. It is a decent waifu simulator. It is currently uninstalled, so I can't take a screenshot to post, but if you like dressing up girls in cute clothes it is amusing.

Honestly, if you play then don't do Strider. They have basically one unique skill. I basically did it for the best pony tail and one of the outfits, the version only for Strider, was super cute-sporty. My friend said she thought it was cuuute when I texted her it. If I had a do-over, I'd play Esper. They have the most skills (only magic class). It is a female only class, unless they changed it (doubt it). The tank class, Guardian(?), is fine. If you like the more mature look, then...

I should say --- feel free to play a male character if that's your fancy. I should also say - I was just talking about the game's strengths which is the charm of dressing up cute girls with guns. By today's standards it is very poorly balanced, but I assume people play it for the cosmetic part. The gamer version of barbie? Good, but perhaps good for reasons the general public wouldn't appreciate?

Best of luck.

An edit just for the sake of proving some points -

The game is suppose to be pervy. If you've seen game play videos, you've seen much racier things than in my screenshot. I have a RL, normal, friend added on Steam and when I loaded up the game I switched my profile to private. It seems I have a few quests left and just at 27, but the assumed end to them is ~30 as I said, so close enough. I only had 14 hours logged - well worth it for the amount of time I played.

No problem =). I was wondering if I should reveal my guilty pleasure to the public, but if it helped you it was well worth it.

Bad news, [Potential] Waifu Simulator Fans!

megayuchi took down the game for sale. Users that have it already can continue life with their waifu for a year on dedicated servers [US East/West/Japan/UK] then the official servers will be taken down.

He is working on a private server feature though. Hopefully a talented modding community will pick up where mega left off =/.
