I was so behind this Anime when it was announced & I love the Manga but when the Anime came out.... err well It wasn't what I hoped it would be.

I won't even go into censors because we all know that was a major let down when Akame ga Kill was pretty graphic & Parasyte is doing a good job right now as well.

The pacing & the jumping around from the Manga was what really turned me off. There was a lot of details left out of the Anime that were important to the Manga & then they put the Gourmet Arc first which then they ruined because it wasn't exactly how it went in the Manga.

I see a lot of people giving a lot of praise to Tokyo Ghoul saying it was one of the best Anime of 2014 and where if it went hand in hand with the Manga it would be the top 3 at least in terms of overall 2014 but the pacing & the jumping back & forth to leaving out key details really didn't do it for me. I feel like this Anime should be around 30+ episodes and not the 22-26 total that they are probably gonna do.

Let me know if anybody agrees because I stopped watching after episode 6 or 7 and never went back to after I was so excited and pumped about it before it aired, I even had all my friends watch it and I sorta felt meh about it after the first few episodes.

Who cares if it doesn't follow the original source.
These concerns are the downfall of the reputation of good anime that have deviations.

I liked the anime just fine. Probably because I haven't read the manga, but still, I quite liked it as is, so I'm good.

Not in the slightest. My only concern was that it was rushed in certain areas, but other than that, it was a pretty good anime.

it made sense to me, and that's all that matters.

if I read something, and there was an anime, I would want an interpretation of the person creating the anime... if I wanted a carbon copy I would just go read the original source.

"Love too much"? It's not even among my favourites. It's a pretty okay anime by itself and it'll probably become good enough with the second season.
