ANN is the IGN of anime, so I can't honestly say I'm surprised.

Sorry I'm late, is this where we sign in to bash mainstream opinions that we don't espouse? I'd hate to miss that.

Flipped through to see if anyone listed M3: The Dark Metal but nobody did. My hipster cred is corroborated.

You're one of like, seven people on this planet who bothered to watch the whole thing.

I liked it too. It wasn't perfect but they did some nice character work and generally kept their threads together.

Would've been a bugger to watch weekly though, marathoning it was definitely the way to go.

I watched the first half weekly then it just got to the point of catching 3-4 episodes at a time. I could definitely see it being better marathoned.
I had to watch it for the Nano ED at least. M3 was better than the other Nano ED show this year...

I once again see that my opinions are not apart of the majority.

I thought The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior was a pretty great series as well. I figured it would have done better in the viewers poll at least...

I thought wrong seeing as how it is in 41st place in the fan polls.

Naturally. First and foremost....I'm not doing my list YET because we still have some 2014 shows not yet finished. Plus unlike them I'm doing the reverse, I am counting shows from 2013 that ended in 2014(like Kill la Kill), and won't be counting shows from 2014 that are still going.

For me, a show has to end at least one season in that given year. So things like Parasyte, Shirobako, and Your Lie in April, which continue into 2015 without having completed a season, won't be eligible for me. However in the case of something like Log Horizon, it's first season will be eligible, but its second won't. Kind of get what I'm saying?

Basically, I can't judge things that haven't completed its season. Unlike ANN, which are more than happy to judge shows before they finish at least one season.
