Wow, stupid thread.

Banning sex for people who have aids? Why don't you guys shot them in the head while you're at it. Most of you can't even differentiate between laws, and social ethics. Big words coming from a bunch of kids.

are you stupid or something? you think its ok for people who have AIDS to have sex with people and spread the disease?

After skimming through the first few posts, I have to agree with edsamac the Forum Moderator. It would definitely encourage some kind of discrimination towards the people with AIDs and other STDs, which is of course probably beneficial to the human race, but highly immoral. A comparison, I think, could be to kill all the hungry people on the world. It'd relieve their suffering and save money on our side, but completely immoral.

However, to have sex with someone, most likely a slight stranger, knowing full well that you have AIDs, yet keeping quiet, is indeed something that should be punishable. Making it illegal to do so wouldn't really affect the frequency, only encourage the punishment of the crime. Some kind of record saying whether the person has done a HIV test before should be present, if he/she is caught.

Anyway, my suggestion would be, though weak, to encourage education of STDs and AIDs, and promote the use of protection more. Could even issue HIV positive people with discount cards for condoms/diaphragms? (the thing women use?)

People with HIV/AIDS should be banned from sexual life forever. In Poland we had have a case about this:

Just read and see what can be done - 12 young women are now "sentenced to death" - Sad, very sad

can i ask a question about STD?
as far as i know STD wasn't there in early days,
I was wondering how STD appeared?
is it true that theres a myth saying that a soldier was trapped into some place and had sex with a monkey and got the decease from it?
just curious

or.. you can get a condom and practise safe sex.. honestly you guys.. AIDS don't infect other people as easily as that.

Even with unprotected sex they're not that easily transferrable. No matter what you read out there that points out it's the no.1 most lethal disease ever.

Illegalizing sexual activities for HIV infected people is just too harsh..

Nope that'll be silly.

coz like.. what if they want to have sex between fellow infected people? should be fine since both parties already got the disease rite? lol

i think the question here should be rephrased to: should sexual activities between HIV-infected people and non-infected people made illegal?

When both are infected, than nothing should stop them IMO.
And sexual activities between HIV-infected people and non-infected people should be made illegal - HIV/AIDS are infectious disease .And on every infectious disease ( like: flu, mumps, and other virus - diseases ) you isolate people to prevent it. So why we shouldn't do this in hiv/aids.

Both people should be tested for having any sexual diseases before having sex, so it could help prevent spreading of the infection[s]. If they don't want to then let them get the transmitted diseases. You should always test to make sure if you have any infections before having sex, in my opinion.

hahaha, people even had sex with goats even though they weren't trapped.

Well even though its called STD, it doesn't mean it is stricly transmitted by sexual intercourse only. Some STDs are caused by virus, which is (some) transmittable by fluid (or blood). Some are caused by bacteria, showing (some) symptoms of dermal infections.

But would it not be good to have standard testing so people can know they are infected? I think that if you know you are infected you should be legally responsible to inform your partner of your disease before intercourse. This would help to stop others from getting sick. It sick to know you have aids and bang someone who does not know.

Standardizing the testing is difficult... making a standardized method of testing, is already in effect, and this includes everything that I stated.

It's more a question of subscription, as far as the people in the screening are concerned. Right now, if you really want a screening process to be standardized, then we need supporting legislation to protect the identities of those who were screened positive, and those that they possibly infected.

So long as there is the stigma of having AIDS going around, their personal security is always on the line. I was referring more to the patients in-screening, and not necessarily the out-patients. Of course, they should be legally responsible for telling their partners that they have AIDS ~ but majority of these people don't even know they have it, and that's where the whole screening comes in, where all sexual partners are screened and informed of their possible infection.

Hey kid, the world is run in retributive justice. In ethics and law, "Let the punishment fit the crime" is the principle that the severity of penalty for a misdeed or wrongdoing should be reasonable and proportional to the severity of the infraction. Its presence has been shown in the ancient Jewish culture by its inclusion in the law of Moses, specifically in Deuteronomy 19:17-21, which includes the punishments of "life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot." Many other documents reflect this value in the world's cultures. Proportionality requires that the level of punishment be scaled relative to the severity of the offending behaviour.

For putting a definite death sentence on others will require, in retributive justice, very harsh actions on prepetrator and its like. Imagine in the polish case 12 females was infect with HIV with a person who knows he is having it,What justice can they seek?

The emergency laws in the plague periods of 1300s and 1400s pale in what the thread master suggest which is the utilitarian law by banning them. However, I'm of a differing stance because i don't believe in social ethics, these ethics have to be pass down through customs and traditions. with the current weakening traditions and customs observation from youth, I'm more in flavor of the civil law justice system that china practises. Easy to manage, short and sweet.

You are very offensive in your remarks to all the users in the crunchyroll, As if you are high and mighty, i don't see much depth in your derisive posts either, as if the main purpose of you coming to this thread is to start flaming. I like to post short answers because the response i get are useful for my researchs.

Yours sincerely,
