people are gonna do it anyways, just saying it's illegal won't stop them....why don't we just ship all the people with HIV/AIDS to china or something

it's funny that you mentioned shipping them to china..this is a really bad example not considering many factors, think about it thoroughly

What?

Where does it say that in the bible?

Along with all other kinds of sexual immorality, sex before marriage / premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13,18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes abstinence before marriage. Sex before marriage is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to. Sex between a husband and his wife is the only form of sexual relations that God approves of (Hebrews 13:4).

I already know premarital sex is wrong. We're talking about if a person with HIV/AIDS has sex with someone who doesn't, and get them infected, should that person go to jail.

I kinda read most the comments and here is my opinion:

1- Do you understand how much it will cost, in labor, materials and ressources to screen the whole world, even if its once a year? And would it change anything? No, one year is a time lapse long engouh to contaminate alot of people, not to mention there is a laten incubating time that can go up to 3 months before its actully read on the test. This is a waste of time, money and ressources that could be used in something alot better.

2- Alot of "honnest" good people have AIDS. I mean, everyone see AIDS infected people as a pimpish kind of person, drug addict, cheating on his wife/husband. But no, sadly, its absolutly not the case. There many way to get AIDS, even tho the most commun one is sexually (and the only one YOU can actually do something to protect yourself) there all blood or fluid contacts also.
People fears what they dont understand, and the amount of people dont understanding AIDS is astunning. What is the chance for a mother that is infected to transmit it to her childrens? *drums rolls* 2%
How many of you knew that?
(the ethic question is more, should we lets those HIV positive person have kids, since they will possibly die and no longer be able to support their childrens... anyway... different debate... )

3- Im absolutly against "marking" those people. Its like exposing them to all the stereotype, fears and missconception of the ignorant people. Do you know someone with AIDS? I happen to know many, and since a young age... I wasnt always understanding why some people didnt wanted to come eat at my place, or why some parents refused that my friends come over. Oh yeah, my father best friend have AIDS. Once in a while, he would come over for dinner... what if a year later i happen to drink in the same glass as him! What if my son touch the same door knock. He gonna get AIDS! *end of sarcasms* Im not even kidding.
Trust me... MOST people HIV positive are dead maniac about the risk they are for people arround them. They are very honnest with their partners and you know, most of them refuse to date anymore, close themself to society and live in shame. It shouldnt be like that.
Some HIV positive people date between them, since they are both infected, there is no real risk, and they can understand each others... but its also difficult that if one of them get sick and die, you have to see the reflection of your own death. Its hard, many also refuse to do it ...

Those people arent dangerous, there alot more dangerous people out there that you have to stop worrying about HIV positive persons.

Bottom line is this: use protection.
I know, its hard, you are in the "heat" of the moment nd just happen to skip that. I'm not a idiot, i know how it is, we all can relate to that, almost.
I think even if condoms was free, most people wouldnt use it. Why? because the consequences are not instantanious.
If STD was something that is like, you get in and then BANG you feel searing pain, then people will be scared. But no, we always think "i'll deal with it later" ... yeah, maybe you'll deal with it the rest of your life.

or.. you can get a condom and practise safe sex.. honestly you guys.. AIDS don't infect other people as easily as that.

Even with unprotected sex they're not that easily transferrable. No matter what you read out there that points out it's the no.1 most lethal disease ever.

Illegalizing sexual activities for HIV infected people is just too harsh..

Nope that'll be silly.

coz like.. what if they want to have sex between fellow infected people? should be fine since both parties already got the disease rite? lol

i think the question here should be rephrased to: should sexual activities between HIV-infected people and non-infected people made illegal?

I already included that in my question. i.e. Consent. As for you saying the disease is hard to get...That's actually pretty stupid if I don't say so myself. EVEN if you have a condom on it's transferable, a condom just protects you somewhat. And you can't really argue when it's been in the top 5 most lethal diseases of the last 30 years.

lol.. yea.. i would think i'm stupid too if it comes from other people's mouth.

but here's a fact buddy.

my sister's husband has HIV. Not only she had sex with him. She.. had a child with him! Messed up thing is that: her test result showed that she's not infected. Nor is the child infected. (if you want to argue that AIDS only shows positive on result after 6 months time: she was tested 2 years ago, and 2 years after. And she's still not infected now)

The doctor said if your genital doesn't have an open wound on the time you're having sex (she doesn't reccomend this) then it's okay to have sex with AIDS infected people even without a condom. And her negative test result proved that.

So as I said, don't believe the AIDS myth all too easily here people. It's not all true

Aids can be contracted by semen as well =/ She's lucky and even though there's a CHANCE you won't get it by having sex that doesn't mean you won't get it. My cousin got AIDs from a guy who wore a condom, thankfully it's still hibernating for the time being at least, her test came out negative for a year and then a month after her exam she went back and it proved positive. So, it really depends on the disease itself in many situations. She's unsure if she wants to have child because it will be born with the virus so I don't know what will happen about that. blah blah blah, super bowl is on.

wen someone knows that they have HIV/AIDS
&&want to continue being sexually active
then they have to be completely honest with their partner
&&let them know that they have this disease.
they should ALSO be using a condom
to protect their partner from also being infected.

i`m a peer educator in the H.E.A.R.T club in my highschool (HIV/AIDS Education And Research Team)
we host something called the AIDS Quilts
where family members of deceased loved ones who died of this STD
make quilts in their memory
every year we have HIV positive speakers come to our school to help us EDUCATE other fellow teenagers so that they can help donate to charities and keep themselves safe and healthy
to use condoms ALL the time and everytime
to get tested if yu are sexually active

i think that yu are being irrational in thinking that these infected individuals should be considered criminals
we should not label these people criminals
~those promiscuous who don`t think it`s cool to wear a condom and get the disease~ them we can make examples of their stupidity, yes.
but because of the fact that babies are dying from being born already with HIV is all the more reason that we need to help those infected and educate the world so that we can keep them safe.

no it's their fault they've been "playing around" and we'll never know if they have the STD any way.

Not with people without it but they could with people that already have aids.
