[The Umbrella Academy on Big Screen]

With the release of "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" less than four months away, the two companies bringing the supernatural sequel to the big screen have signed a three-year deal to see if they can't bring more monster hits to the big screen. Universal Pictures and Dark Horse Entertainment – the publisher of "Hellboy" comics – have inked a production and distribution agreement that establishes a studio home for all of Dark Horse's creative properties going forward.

Asked which of Dark Horse's creator-owned properties may be in line for film adaptations, Richardson held his cards close to chest.
When offered Gerard Way' s popular "Umbrella Academy" series as an option, Richardson answered, "'Umbrella Academy' will obviously be high on the radar of the early projects but again, we've just completed the deal and now we are preparing the first projects.

Big Cheese's interview with Ray Toro

This month's issue of Big Cheese in the UK (April - #98) has an exclusive interview with Ray. In the interview he talks about the DVD (which will apparently include the show at Maxwells in Hoboken as well as the Mexico show) and the possibility of James Dewees being made a permanent member of the band ("we love playing with him and writing with him and if that's an indication of where things are going then let that just be the answer")

Lyrics of (one of) MCR's new songs "The World Is Ugly"

Are you thinking of him?
The world is ugly,

And you wanted me to go.
I just wanted you to know

That the world is ugly,
But you're beautiful to me.
Are you thinking of me?
Are you thinking of him?

You can say I told you so
If you wanted me to go.

I just wanted you to know
That the world is ugly,
But you're beautiful to me.

Are you thinking of me?
Are you thinking of him?

You can say I told you so
If you wanted me to go.

I just wanted you to know.

The world is ugly,
But you're beautiful to me.
Are you thinking of me?
Can we both be ugly?
Are you thinking I'm the one?
We could fight it to the end.
I just wanna hold your hand.
And you're probably just too good.
I just wanted you to know.

==========================

Stay

Say, the lights are really low enough to play,
Would you cast yourself so solitary?
All alone you prove that I was,
Broken down to move and alright,
Battling the loss you live for,
Meant the world to you,

And would you stay right here?
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you.
Would you stay right here?
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you after all.

Sometimes it's all the 'machines?' that you're at 'fault?',
Would you catch this '...', 'break?' this off the,
'Nowhere and no one?',
And if you're walking out the door I'd stop you,
And '...' turn to me and I'd say this,

And would you stay right here?
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you.
If you stay right here,
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you.

Is there no one, no one out there?
Is there no one who, no one who cares?
And if no one. no one out there?
Is there no one who, no one who cares?

And would you decimate these thoughts
When you go?

And if you stay right here,
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you.
Stay right here,
When I tell you,
That someone out there loves you.

No one, no one out there,
Is there no one who, no one who cares?
And if no one, no one out there,
Is there no one who, no one who cares?

*note : the above lyrics are not 100% sure.

MCR's recent Vegas Incident

Not by me. This was written by nobodygirl from livejournal.com.
Link: http://nobodygirl.livejournal.com/479136.html

Yes, I can safely say that this is true. Reading the comments, there were witnesses who can confirm this incident.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I'm home! So freaking happy to be home. I haven't even begun writing up the highlights of my Vegas/My Chemical Romance fun, but I wanted to write about the incident last night and get it out of the way so I can focus on the awesome stuff.

Last night, during the last show for Vegas, some older guy who I don't even think was a MCR fan, managed to haul himself onto the stage. It was weird, because security was being kind of dicky and authoritarian all day and then they totally fail when it really counts and let some loser climb over the barrier and then haul himself on the stage. It took him a long time to get up there too. Long enough that I was able to wonder where security had gone and then say to the girl next to me, "Um, hello? Is anyone going to stop that idiot?"

From where the band was, it must've looked pretty fucking terrifying, especially because the guy sort of ran at Frankie. He may have grabbed his microphone, but I'm not positive about that.

Several things happened at once.

Gerard crossed in front of Mikey, ran over to the guy and sort of bounced off him. Not that the guy was very big. He ran at the guy again and shoved him. The guy didn't seem to even budge.

Mikey moved very very fast out of the way and then just stared with a petrified look on his face. It was not fun seeing him look that vulnerable.

I have no idea what Frank was doing, he seemed to have disappeared off the stage. Later, I asked the girl next to me and she said Frankie had run. I didn't actually see that happen. I also didn't see how Ray responded to the situation.

But what really freaked me out was Bob. Oh my god. I don't ever want to be on Bob's bad side. In fact, if I ever want to fuck someone up, I'd totally hire Bob because Bob was going to kick some ass. The look on Bob's face was scary. Bob was really really mad and not in an 'ooh sexy!' kind of way. No, it was more of a 'there's going to be a fight, and there's going to be blood and someone is going to leave here with his jaw broken' kind of mad. He reminded me of a lion that was just napping in the sun and then some drunk tourist had the nerve to come into his territory and threaten one of his little lion babies or something. It was the look on Bob's face that made me realize that things were not okay, that they didn't think this was just some stupid stage-diver. Bob ripped out his ears, stood up and was about to go through his drums to get to the guy. Luckily for the guy, and Bob's drums, someone offstage got to the guy first.

Then Gerard started saying to someone offstage kind of hysterically. "I thought he was going for Frank. It looked like he was going for Frank." He said to the audience, still a little panicked "I thought he was going after Frank and that sweet ass!" I was clinging to the girl next to me, but we both laughed at that. Gerard also said he just thought it was weird some 45 year old guy that was too old to be stage-diving was climbing onstage heading for Frank. And that they were close enough to the audience, they were so close the audience could probably smell Gerard, and the audience didn't need to come onstage to visit. It was all just unsettling and I don't think the guy was even a MCR fan. It was so weird and awful.

It took them a couple minutes to get ready again because Bob had ripped out his ears. I spent the next song sort of in a daze and it took quite a few songs for the sick feeling in my stomach to go away. The show just felt kind of weird and off for a little while. But then things finally got good again and it got back to being awesome.

At some point Mikey or Frank found something that had fallen out of the guy's pocket and gave it to Gerard. Gerard held it up and crowed gleefully, "Oh shit! It's a packet of Ben-Gay! He dropped his packet of Ben-Gay! Which is too bad because he's going to need it after that." And I had mean thoughts of "yes! I hope Worm breaks every bone in that stupid guy's body!" But I don't even know if Worm was in Vegas. Then Gerard said he needed the Ben-Gay and proceeded to open it and put it down the back of his pants. A few songs later he said at some point, everyone needed to experience having a packet of Ben-Gay stuck to their ass.

My Chemical Romance
Chart - topping *insert the "E" word here* rockers

When the members of My Chemical Romance were presented to the media - a diverse assembly of music jouranalists, teen - magazine writers and radio personalities - prior to the concert at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field, we were told to limit the questions to the band's albums and tour. No personal questions will be answered. The concert was held on perfectly cool Friday night at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field. Though not exactly bursting, the band's rabid young fans provided a dose of culture shock for the hoity - toity crowd of Bonifacio High Street and Serendra, with their all - black group, guyliner, spiked hair, and devil - may - care attitude.
MAXIM contributor Totel de Jesus was afraid to interview the five members of the band on his own ask them stupid questions for fear that he may end up getting beaten to the pulp by those tall, angry rockers from New Jersey, home of the hitman - turned- serial killer Richerd "Iceman" Kuklinski and uh, Jon Bon Jovi, which the band actually did front - act for once upon a time.
Anyhow, there were ways around the music - only - questions rule as we found out.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO DIE TOMORROW, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TODAY?
Bassist Mikey Way: Probably leave the hotel first.
Drummer Bob Bryar: Get rid of our hangover.
Rhythm guitarist and back - up vocalist Frank Lero [Me: Yes... this is stpidity... It's spelled as capital i - e - r - o]: By running and walking.
Singer Gerard Way: That's an impossible question to answer. But I'd like to see somebody die first. Probably get a time machine, go back in time and watch Britney Spears shave her head.
Lead guitarist - backing vocals Ray Toro: Just shave her head?
Gerard: Yeah, nothing else.

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET YOUR OWN DEATH?
Mikey: I want to drown in a bathtub full of mayonnaise.
Bob: Just like in Ghostbusters.
Ray: Yeah, that happened to someone already.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU TOURED WITH GREEN DAY, AS FRONT ACT. AND BON JOVI TOO? WHY BON JOVI?
Gerard: We get along with everybody else.

AT NIGHT, WHAT SONGS OR ALBUMS DO YOU PLAY IN YOUR CD?
Ray: I don't know, it changes every night.
Mikey: Yes, I agree. No particular stuff.
Ray: Right now, old '60's classics. Stevie Ray Vaughn. Rolling Stones.
Frank: Metallica. All the angry songs.
Gerard: It changes. One time it's Britney, then Bon Jovi.

ARE YOU AWARE THAT SOME FANS EXTRACTED YOUR SONGS AND PLAYED THEM BACKWARDS? AND THE WORDS COMING OUT SUGGEST THAT THEY'RE ALL DEVIL WORSHIPPERS? THEY'RE ON YOUTUBE.

Bob: Really? Maybe they should write the lyrics and play them again with the words at the bottom, like in karaoke.
Ray: Yeah, that would be cool. We'll probably use them in our next album. [Me: LOLOLOLOLOLOLLLL!!!]

My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way Condemns Emo-Bashers :

Emo fans have been threatened with violence in Mexico in recent weeks, but apparently Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance has taken up the cause. When MCR took the stage this past Saturday at Zero Fest in Mexico City, Way immediately spoke in earnest to the crowd, according to MTV News:

"I want to say something today before we continue. Recently we've been hearing a lot of stuff about some violence here in your country having to do with kids who want to wear black t-shirts … or some kind of bull-- stuff like that. We don't want to see any f---ing violence! We came here for one reason, and that's to be at the f---ing rock show!"

Gerard appears to be the first major music personality to stand up and say something in defense of the subculture that has been discriminated against recently. His profanity-laden rant could be the first step in some sort of peace treaty between emos and the ruffians who would impose their will upon them.
