Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri

Came to my notice as it is slated to become an anime sometime in 2015.

Found the manga and marathoned all chapters today.

It's based on an inter dimensional gate suddenly appearing in Tokyo's Ginza District and the invasion of sword wielding medieval warriors through it who have no knowledge of what they are getting in to, i.e., invading modern Japan and the JSDF's weapons.
The invaders are pursued back through the gate and a JSDF base quickly set up on the other side.

What follows are lively adventures with an Otaku Lieutenant, a loli goth Demi-god, bunny girls, elves, dragons and princesses.

Lot's of battles, and political intrigue in both worlds. Something neat about MRAPs, attack helicopters and jets in the medieval setting. Works better than you might think it would.

Only a few chapters got slow but the action picked back up again fairly quickly.

It is fairly heavy on ecchi and fan service in spots, so be warned.

Can't wait to see the anime now...

Did we read the same manga? There's really only a few instances of that.

I guess the phrase, "somewhat graphic" in some spots, ("spots" meaning occasionally,) might be a better description.
The graphic nature and nudity of some drawings do indeed fit the story and is not really any kind of fan service.
I actually have pondered on that line of my description since I wrote it. Thanks.

Ah yeah. That I can agree on. I guess I just don't notice that kind of stuff anymore haha.
