I don't think I ever believed Santa was real, sadly. I think I was more influenced by movies that had people skeptical about there being a real Santa rather than those that showed the miracles of the great Santa Claus. Also, I don't think it helped that my parents have the presents under the tree WEEKS before Christmas.

I was 6 years old, and walking with my best friend back to class from our lunch. I was raving about how I wished Santa would get me such and such toy, at which point she did an about face (she'd been walking in front of me) and she turns around and says, "Santa's not real. It's your parents that bring the gifts." She was one of a few people who interacted with me back then, and someone I liked and trusted quite a lot, so I believed her word immediately.

I never really believed in Santa because that doesn't sound very realistic having some guy come down your chimney and leaving gifts. Plus the gift givers ask for what I want and I only get that. Imagine how many outfits Santa goes through going down all of those chimneys.

I never believed. I was always told he wasn't real from the get go and that my parents were the one who left the presents. Same with the tooth fairy.

I never believed. I always lumped him together with characters from my picture books, and that people wanted to dress up like him and play Pretend, just like me with my favorite book and movie characters. Plus, my older sister was already sneaking in our parents room to peak at presents. Nonetheless, I often went along with the facade (Pretend was my favorite game); however, on occasion, I was the shitty kid pulling the beard down.

I had to be convinced that dinosaurs were dead, though. Afterwards, I still went on dinosaur-hunting exploits, which nearly cost me my left eye when I was three.

I was never convinced that the tooth fairy was real, too, but I didn't care. To me, money was awesome, yet I often ate my coins.

I remember telling my mom when I was 10 that I didn't believe in him, but honestly I don't have any memories that would lead me to believe that I ever thought he was real.

Yup. The Three Wise Men are the ones who do the gift giving in Mexican culture.

I think I was 10--after finding something in my parent's closet that then showed up as from "Santa" on Christmas Day. I had to go along with it for several years after though because I had younger siblings and didn't want to spoil things for them. (I did bring it up to my parents though so they confirmed and then it became our secret together, which was nice)

I used to think that Santa teleported, because it was easier for him to get to every house ^_^.
