theres a crunchy app for almost all consoles that are alive right now, but most people just play the games they played as a child, or have upgraded to the latest console which is the 3ds. its even on the wii u so its just two steps away. if they do this i can die in peace, after i watch all the anime that is

Something I considered asking about, but not a necessity

But f this is a possibility, I most certainly would not be against it

Are you looking at only physical size, or resolution?

In 2D mode, the top screen is 800x240 while the bottom screen is only 320x240.

That bottom screen is also 4:3 aspect ratio, which would make it an even poorer choice for modern 16:9 anime, as the effective vertical resolution would be further reduced by letterboxing. The top screen is 5:3 (1:66:1) vs. 16:9 (1.77:1) for modern anime, which is closer, but you would still lose some vertical resolution (which it can ill afford) due to letterboxing, or have the sides cropped off. You also wouldn't get the benefit of that decent horizontal resolution unless CR did custom encodes for the 3DS.

if you think that the play back would be so bad you should try out netflix or hulu on a 3ds the playback of videos is just fine but i dont even see a app from crunchyroll til the new 3ds is out every where
