Haha... I think it's more weird when I'm rolling into work with my windows down on my 'stang blasting generic anime-tunes. A lot of openings and endings from my favorite shows and such (the vast majority of them being sung by women). I love the ones that are more electronic-y/danc-y feeling. I love EDM.

Well.. I like some bands with Female singers.. Not really pop though.. Some examples would be Nightwish, In This Moment, Within Temptation... And there are a few women Finnish singers I really like..

This isn't something I really think about. If the music is good, I'm listening to it, regardless of who is singing.

This.

And also this. It doesn't really matter. I'd ham to some Taylor Swift. She's got some catchy tunes

Nah not really weird. I actually have some of her CDs ( more like stole from my sister though ). If I like the song who cares. What's funny is I drive a mustang with some pretty decent subs, so sometimes for no reason I'll blast Taylor Swift (I'll do this especially when picking up my sister to embarrass her). Just imagine that image, of a mustang driving by blasting Taylor Swift with a lot of bass.

Nothing better than to have Diana Krall filling your soul with Besame Mucho (Kiss me much) or Norah Jones wanting to Come Away With Me, especially right before drifting off at night. And I really like the vocal harmonies by Yuki Kajuira's harems: Kalafina and FictionJunction, too. Red Molly, Toby Lightman, Sade, Maria Friedman (the Narrator on Joseph's Amazing technicolor Dreamcoat)

I can also get into the mood for the choices from a post somewhat above: Nightwish, Within Temptation, would add Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil, and even Amy Lee's voice standing out and soaring up above the thrum. And special mention for Clare Torry's vocals on "Great Gig in the Sky" from Dark Side of the Moon. I guess I would draw the line at most operatic sopranos, though.

Why would a gender normative male want to listen to male vocals? (Well, maybe Josh Groban, and to a lesser extent Adam Lambert but even those are more of a "I wish I had his voice" kind of thing)

Taylor Swift though, not so much...

Weekender Girl, Rolling Girl, Odds & Ends, Melt, I'm Going to Miku Miku You... Those are all my jams on the way to work.

There's actually some stellar remixes of of newer anime openings that I've been listening to more often though. I'm loving Project Diva F 2nd on my Vita!

At first when a lot of them (Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande for example) were starting out (not nearly as popular as they are now) I always told myself "You can't listen to this crap! It's for teenage girls!!!" But I don't really mind it to much anymore and even catch myself singing to the songs I like from the different artists. Ellie Goulding is actually one of my favorite Pop/EDM artists right now, and in most of her songs it's only her singing . Don't worry, you aren't secretly gay or something! XD

I'm a guy.
I listen to music.
Sometimes that music has female vocals.
Problem?
Why should the gender of the singer matter?
If I like the song, I'll listen to it.
