I don't really know, I have crappy internet so I usually stick with SD, haha. But the 1080 does get all laggy, true.

CR's been having issues lately.

I keep hearing this every time I hop on the forums once a month. Their player is and always will be crap.

I wish they would switch to a player that would let you buffer and see buffer progress. Dont think that would lower the quality of their 1080p but it would definitely be better.

Can someone explain to me why the CR player doesn't display the buffer? I think I saw something about CR limiting the buffer, which I don't really get, but not displaying whatever buffer they do provide? I don't understand :S

I'm currently under 7 proxies, so everything I do online is slow. Anyhow, when I turn then off then I've never gotten any slow downs on CR.

...has Sweden become Belarus or something? Why do you need to go through seven proxies?

I have a few reasons for doing it.

The police are collecting IP activity due to them wanting to stop piracy and track people who do it. Well, I don't do illegal stuff... But nobody have the bloody right to know what websites I visit or use since that's in my eyes right up abuse. What tells me that the some random IT guy/gal at the police doesn't sell my online activity to a advertisement company.

Then we've also got the fact that companies like google track everything you search and then sell the information to advertisement companies who in turn place advertisements up targeted right at you. But with a proxy then I'll never have one and the same IP and as such there's no way for them to track my activity and thus the ads won't matter anymore. I guess I could use addblock, but that's just a a-hole move since it hurts webites that provide a free service.

Can you link me to a news article, a policy brief, or something regarding their doing this? That's completely inappropriate if they're doing it, and especially for that reason. If your constitution doesn't forbid that it damn well should. That's unreasonable search and seizure.

To some extent I actually don't mind that. Customizing the advertising experience to cater to me personally is actually kind of helpful. With that in mind, that may be because I'm so desensitized to being constantly bombarded with advertisements. I've sometimes thought that it's bizarre just how much people are subjected to sales pitches in everyday life without ever thinking anything of it. BUY THIS! GO HERE! DO THIS! YOU NEED THIS! YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM, AND OUR PRODUCT WILL FIX IT! Constantly. It's kind of surreal and Orwellian, if you think about it. Still, I'm desensitized, so I don't especially care. Just keep the ads from giving me malware and I'll ignore them like I do the rest.
