I'm black (well half black. I'm also part Hispanic as well) so you can probably imagine how many stereotypes there are for me. The funny thing is I'm actually quite stereotypical for a black person. I can't swim, I can run fast and jump pretty high, and I love me some fried chicken, watermelon, and koolaid. xD I don't really take offense to stereotypes unless they're blatantly insulting or whatever and half the time I'm cracking black jokes about myself. Seriously. When I'm around friends we'll all just tease one another, but it's all in good fun (There are two gingers and a German guy in my little group of friends so there's plenty of "ammo" ready to be fired lol). Anyway I'm pretty laid back about it and don't let it really bother me much.

Stereotypes? Ill list the latest
"How do you feel about Michael Brown?(or insert any police brutality case that involves a black person)"
"Do police scare you?"
"How is the fried chicken?"
"How do you feel on the current status on the NBA?"

Im a chinese living in the Philippines. Most of the people assume that just because someone else has the same surname, it means that we're related. They think all chinese belong to one ancestor or something

In this society there is going to be a lot of stereotypes that will hold us back. Not all of them are bad though. Some you should be proud of because you have culture. If you dont like those stereotypes break them.
