Would you repeatedly flash yourself and watch your favorite anime again?

Give it about 3 years and you'll mainly only remember the vague plot of an anime. Yes, you may not be as excited anymore since you vaguely can remember what happens, but it will feel like you're watching something you haven't watched yet.

Who would want to cry over and over again? D:

EDIT: Now that I think about it, thats what most people on crunchyroll do, just with different animes

If it destroys my memories, wouldn't it be plausible that I'd forget that it's my favorite anime? I might end up passing it over because I don't remember I love it.

You get to choose which memories to destroy.

Honestly I probably wouldn't. The emotions I felt while watching a lot of anime a few years back have become more dulled down as time went on. I'd like the intense emotions I felt back then to be what I remember, as opposed to, well, my not-so-intense emotions of today. Today when a show finishes, I might be a little bummed out, but I'll move to another show. Back then I always felt like I'd lost something special; knowing that the characters' lives would go on and I couldn't experience it. So while it would give me something to (re)do, it wouldn't be quite the same, and because of that I'm fine leaving things as they are.

In that case, I'd probably focus on destroying troublesome memories instead of 'good ones' as it were. Destroying a memory of an anime I like would essentially just be nullifying all the prior time I spent liking it. I waste enough of my own time without setting up hurdles for myself.

No, I like remembering. Plus, I worry about cumulative damage. The Silence demonstrate a particularly nasty side effect.
