The origins of what made you come to love Anime? For me, I remember turning on Cartoon Network as a kid and Sailor Moon was on, It was around episode 20 when I saw it, watching bad guys get beat down with Fire from Mars was epic, so I watched more and more and that's pretty much where it took off.. Been a fan ever since then, I was about 7 at the time XD

I am guessing this question has been asked here before but why not?

I guess mine would be watching Naruto when i was a kid, that got me started and then when i was younger (around middle school possibly start of high school) i started having ideas and dreams of writing my own anime someday.

I started watching the dragon ball z the old series on cartoon network when it used to to show good shows. I then started also watching some of it's other series for a while and i got into sailor moon. I didnt know they were animes because i watched the dubbed versions, and then my brother got me hooked into reading manga and watching anime.

I'd have to say Dragon Ball or Pokemon, most likely Dragon Ball though.

For me looking back I loved anything that was on screen, whether it be cartoons or anime. But I guess I'm like most people when I started getting into DBZ, that just took it to a whole new level for me. But personally anything that would stir up my imagination like watching these characters come alive and hearing the stories and history of these different worlds, the next day trying to draw all your imagination on paper. Well blissful times indeed.

I blame my parents. I was raised to watch TV from 2pm til the 5 o'clock news started. I grew up watching an anime channel they would always put on (everything was subbed in japanese on top and english on bottom) because they thought those were the "in" cartoons for kids. -_- school wasn't easy for me because people had no idea what I was talking about when I was talking about how The Vision of Escaflowne was my favorite of all time it still is after 12 years and 37 watches later. Now I don't care because I'm stuck up anime nerd.

Vocaloid

I grew up on Newgrounds where there was a huge anti-anime feeling back in 2007. I looked down on anime as something for weeaboos. I tried my hand at music back in 2008 or 2009 though and I wished that there was some way to get a synthesised singer like I could get for practically every instrument.

By 2009 I was keeping up with an artist on Newgrounds named "Suwako" and she often drew vocaloid fan art. One day she drew a picture of Miku Hatsune and it became my favourite picture drawn by her. Then on the 24th of December 2009 I was looking on Know Your Meme and found out that Miku was everything I'd been wanting. The anime styling made me eventually give anime a 2nd chance and I became obsessed with it. Eventually, after watching Rozen Maiden, I was fully into anime.
