I couldn't find any posts about this so i decided id make one. So if there is please don't hesitate to lock the thread.

Okay so this is super simple and very interesting to me. Do you thing there are other lifeforms other than Earth. Maybe not close, but somewhere way out there. The reason i ask is this.

If space is supposed to be endless then i personally find hard to believe that out of all space Earth is the only planet to have life on it. I don't like to call them aliens. I don't know why i just don't. To me other life i feel would be just like us. Maybe another planet that may even be identical to Earth or one that may be like Earth, but more advanced.

What do you guys think. I tend to think about it a lot. I feel like i want there to be something out there to discover, but then you think about if there is and we do find them are they going to be friendly and want to coexist and learn from each other or out of fear of something happening go to war or something like that. Just something to think about i guess :P

I am a believer in the supernatural, definitely even though people have refuted and debunked spirits for the longest time. I've seen them with my own eyes. But I am also diagnosed kind of crazy. So maybe my words aren't exactly… reliable. I have seen the ghost of my cat though. After she died when I was eight apparitions of her would keep appearing.

When i was six i also swear I saw this black, cloaked figure that resembled Death, with his own variation of scythe and everything. It seemed like a dream and supposedly was but the realism was striking and petrifying, and I basically awoke in a shivering quiver. That was truly terrifying and I retain the memory to this day, real or not. That was so creepy.

Depends on what you mean by 'lifeforms' if you mean anything, yes there is bacteria on other planets. but the topic of intelligent life-forms is a completely different thing all together, but as for me I do believe in extra-terrestrials for the reason that the universe is to big for us to be the only sentient beings in the grand cosmos.

It's possible. Are they silicon based? Hell no. They're carbon based, like us. Chemistry demands it.

Edit: Here, some sauce for you.

No one knows if the universe is infinite or finite, but I will agree that it is large enough that for earth to be the only planet with sentient and intelligent life it is highly unlikely. The fact that we found an earth-like planet in the habitable zone of the star Kelpar-22, which is relatively close by considering the immense size of the universe, and that it is in one of One Hundred Billion galaxies in the observable universe; I'd say that there being no other life out there to be nearly impossible.

Scientists guess that Keplar22b, the "earth-like" planet around the star Keplar-22 is an ocean world. Water on a planet in the habitable zone of a star (meaning that water can be found in the form of a liquid) most likely means that life has a chance there.

We also don't know about dead, destroyed, or rogue planets that may have once had life that is now gone and we'd never know. There could be microbial life on mars which is right next door and we still can't say if there is or isn't.

If there are, evolution would imply that they are similar to humans.

I believe in the supernatural as well as i have seen things as well. I feel most just assume it isnt real and is a dream or that they are just seeing things because they are so used to people saying that they arent and putting people down for thinking they are. I also feel that in a lot of situations when people are diagnosed for being "crazy" i think that it is just because they are considered weird by the general public because they can do something that most cant. I dont know if it makes since, but its how i feel about it.

Well. I do believe there is a flipped / alternate universe to our own, and that there are fellow intelligent beings out there as well. Extraterrestrials in my opinion have always been a possibility, and it has always seemed like they'd be real, since there are so many stars, planets, and galaxies beyond our own- they can't all be devoid of life, can they? I think there's some things out there, and in time as technology progresses I believe communication can be made with these life forms.
