No love on the Roku either. I have two boxes that won't even load CR's app. Been going on for about 4 days. I have a 17meg connection and have rebooted router and roku's many times.

OK. Two ROKU BOXES TESTED - RESULT

My Girlfriend and I have identical ROKU 3 Boxes but they are across town from each other.
Hers with a fast cable ISP in zipcode 90068, mine with a slower DSL connection in zipcode 90020.

Since CR came back after the attack - She has no problem with Crunchyroll, It works like before
CR used to be great for me - now I have the same problem most everyone else here is complaining about [ check your connection/account and try again]

I thought rather than the ROKU box itself, it was something to do with our respective ISPs and probably how each of our streams is routed to our areas and how that affects the quality of the stream [I have a 6mbps speed which is fast enough for every other channel, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, even Dramafever comes through with no issues.]


MY TEST

I brought her ROKU3 - which works perfectly with her account at her apartment - to my my house and hooked it up.
ROKU REPORTS MY SIGNAL STRENGTH EXCELLENT - THERE ARE NO COMPETING DEVICES OR NEIGHBORS

RESULT
HER BOX, HER ACCOUNT - JUST USING MY WIFI AND ISP - and suddenly she has the exact same problem I and everyone else posting here tonight have:
COULDN'T PLAY VIDEO
Please check your connection/account and try again


I could have tried her account on my box but why be that methodical? [Not tested: Taking my ROKU to her place or using her set up there and sign her out and sign in with my account - But we already know her ROKU and CR work just fine over there. I am predicting with great certainty my CR will be fine there with no issues]

I believe it is my ISP - since every other Roku Channel works great on my box I am discounting my connection speed.

When they suffered the DDoS attack - maybe my ISP, Earthlink, or their actual carrier which I believe is AT&T defensively put something in the path between them and CR to ward off a system-wide hack (stupid, but perhaps that's how they think - maybe it was for our overall better user experience. I can never figure out why these guys do anything.)

Or maybe being down for a while, CR has lost their place in line for the more direct lines and connections and my CR signal is being routed through Guam.

Every other Channel, and I point out Dramafever and Funimation, work just fine - HD with no glitches.

CRUNCHYROLL! I narrowed it down for you. Now find out what's going on with your signal through certain carriers through ROKU and stand up for us! I gotta say, Hulu Plus got the new season of Psycho-Pass and is drawing me more and more - in spite of their bad selection and commercials... FIND THE PROBLEM PLEASE

Same issue, with a Roku 3 and 100Mbps connection. No video will load at all. E-mailed support several days ago, no response.

Roku XD|S 80Mbps connection, no other channel has problems. I use OpenDNS and google's free dns (also tried MIT's). All other providers work fine.

I am on TWC.

It's not the DNS. Since my account appears to be in order (don't get commercials and it properly displays all the images in the queue) this is a CR problem. Last time I was able to view anything was on Dec 29th. Since then I get between 1 and 50 seconds of video before getting the message " Please check your connection/account

I have rebooted all devices, checked my QoS settings.

I note that Cruncyroll Anime & Manga on iOS iPad also don't work for me. At all in their cases. in Manga, it's the missing picture icon on every image, though the rest of the site (chapters, titles, etc.) works fine. It remembers my favorites and bookmarks.

CR Anime & Manga back online on my iOS devices.

And on my Roku. Just finished a full episode.

CR doesn't work holidays/weekends, except maybe a skeleton crew. They certainly don't handle things the way those of us in most other companies have to, where a paying customer's problem is our problem. Must be nice to work there. Shouldn't expect a response, either. Doesn't seem to fit their corporate policy.

badboytime999 provided some valuable information for my very un-extensive and non-laboratory controlled testing.

As I said, my connection rates excellent by the Roku box itself - and my speed is fast enough for every other channel.
CR works on my girlfriends Roku 3 works with Time Warner
Mine doesn't on Earthlink
Brought her Roku over here signed into her account - CHECK CONNECTION/ACCOUNT etc.

IT HAS GOT TO BE AN ISSUE BETWEEN OUR SPECIFIC CARRIERS AND CR or IT'S A QUESTION OF LOUSY ROUTING TO OUR AREAS.

Is anyone out there with Time Warner Roadrunner as an ISP who has A BAD CONNECTION?
Is anyone out there on Verizon Fios Quantum and not experiencing any issues? (of course, if you're not having issues why are you reading in this forum, right?) OK. I'll settle for anyone with issues with TimeWarner.

If not - we can almost be certain it's the ISP
But if there are also problems some places with Time Warner then it's area-specific.
Or a fly could have fallen down into the Brazil-style inner workings or the subtitlers are staging a rebellion down in the catacombs!

And once this analysis is done... so what? What can we do about it? Move?

Doesn't CrunchyRoll have some kind of screen they can look at at Crunchyroll Central and see "Hey, we haven't had anyone from these areas with these carriers checking into their accounts on the server since the outage. I wonder what's going on." Can't I even get a form email saying "We are wondering about the problem ourselves?"

Well I'm on Cox with two Older 720p Roku boxes on 17+meg connection. All of my APPs work just fine except for CR. Infinite loading problems. Been going on since before xmas. Why can't CR get their act together and fix these issues. Its ridiculous.

I'm glad I'm not alone! Everything is streaming well on my Roku except for CR someone of authority with CR please respond and tell us when to expect some resolution... I pay for the premium package, and I don't like paying for error messages

I gave up trying to get Crunchyroll to work properly and when it does the dreadful remote support I just gave up. Get a Chromcast. They are $30 right now and you get $20 credit on Google play store, so there really is no reason not to. Have not had any issues at all.
