Hey guys

Ever since the site came back from the last downtime, i can`t play any stream on my iOS device apps nor on Apple TV. I tried everything (From relogs to change in DNS servers) and nothing seems to work.

Device Type: Apple TV
Streaming Via: WiFi
OS Version: 7.0.2 (6915) - Latest
App Version: Latest

Device Type: Smartphone - iPhone 6 Plus
Streaming Via: 4G or WiFi
OS Version: 8.1.2 (12B440) - Latest
App Version: 2.30.1 (Latest on App Store)

The issue can be replicated every time just by starting the stream. After about 30 seconds, an error message pops saying that an error occurred, and that i should try later.

Any thoughts? I love watching these shows on my big tv but i can`t since the apps aren`t working.

My guess is they are still working on the issue. The site may be back up, but other components may still need work.

EDIT: Just checked on my iPhone, Streaming worked, but there could be lingering issues that may cause some regions not to work. Also make sure your region is properly showing at the bottom of the page, there should be a flag next to language.

Thanks for the prompt answer!

I figured it was some lingering issue from yesterday, and i think it really might be it, but i haven`t seen anyone else complaining within the last 24 hours. That`s the only reason i made a new topic.

I`m streaming from Brazil, and the website does put the correct flag on the bottom. Before the site went down, I had zero issues with all my devices and right now I have no issues on the website itself, only on the apps, though. The PS4 app worked but with really crappy image quality.

My WiFi network isn`t the issue either, since i get 60Mbps on benchmarks in the spot where my devices are.

Having the same issue with my iPad, and after i was really happy to see CR back online after that nasty DDoS attack. Still it's good to hear this issue is already being reported and looked into.

Can't wait to be able to stream my favorite series again soon.

That`s great news, Shinryou! Thanks for the heads up.

I`m glad to know it`s not just me but an issue and that it`s already being looked into! I hope you guys get it fixed soon so i can get my fix on all these amazing shows you guys are bringing us.

Is there any post or update i should follow to know if it`s supposed to be fixed?

Please try to temporarily change your DNS server to a public DNS service such as Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in your router. That might possibly fix the playback issues on your consoles and the likes.

That was one of the first things i tried. Google`s and others. It did not work at all.

I saw that tip on another post and it worked for the OP, but not for me. What i think is weird is that my PS4 app works just fine (except for the horrible image quality - low res), but all my apple devices won`t (iphone 6plus, ipad air, apple TV).

I`ve tried reseting all network settings on all the devices. Tried re-installing the app on the mobile devices and nothing worked. It really feels like an external issue.

I am also having a problem streaming with my apple tv! It will only play like 2 min of video then it will hang sometimes causing me to restart the video and some times it will skip like 20 seconds of video and keep playing! I never had this issues before the attack and now I do. I understand this mess is not crunchys fault and I do wish those behind the attack get what's coming to them I just thought I would report the issue!

I tried changing my DNS with zero success on my iPad, still unable to watch videos. They either get the error screen that other users have shown or simply play the first one to three seconds of the episode before freezing up completely.

Very frustrating to be honest. :/

Same goes to me. I haven't watch my anime in weeks because of it. D you know when will it be fix? It keeps giving me the error still. I just check now and it's still the same. I can't watch on my iPad.
