it's affordable and has many anime series that I like.

when I first subscribed, there were like only gintama and hunter x hunter (animes that I like). but now there are so many more anime. and then manga. etc.

maybe they should expand into streaming anime OST, light novel, otome games... rofl. am I getting too ambitious?

we, otakus, are ready to splurge our money on these things. wish the Japanese publishers would understand that and give rights to CR etc.

sometimes I think my thinking is too simple... and that's why the world annoys me because some complex things don't have to be complex (unless it's a double bypass surgery).[/b]

Lol.. I can definitely agree on that statement hahaha..

Simulcasts in HD soon after the Japanese airing is my primary reason for subscribing. HD being the biggest factor for me since I can't stand HD shows being streamed in a lesser quality. Also, no commercials for paid subscribers. I can't stand commercials, and if I'm paying anything for the service it had better not be giving me commercials. I tried out Hulu Plus and dropped it because of the commercials and lack of HD with many anime. Netflix and FUNimation are good alternatives for me, but lack as many simulcasts as CR.

CR meets the basic requirements: breadth of selection, and a UI that allows you to track what you have and haven't watched.

But the unexpected thing that I really enjoy is reading the comments after I've watched something. They're often informative or amusing, or capture the emotions one experiences during the show. That makes CR feel like a fairly friendly and welcoming community of like-minded people.

Because it's the only legal option in my region. Even though only a fraction of the shows are available here, I appreciate that CR is at least trying to get legal anime to Scandinavia. That's also why I subscribe and try to get my friends to do the same - the hope that if I put my money where my mouth is, eventually more companies will take notice.

I am using it now to post onto many forums as I want. I am trying to get into crunchyroll again because I haven't in about a year. Hopefully I can find the oldest ever made on here (hopefully...)

I was on my Xbox and it said free anime and i was like oooooo turns out it was a promo to sample this site and it's features for free for 1 week or something like ad free. I started using this site on my pc and well the rest is history. I do focus on anime only on here and i only post in the forums and watch anime here at some point i will have to venture back out into the interwebs to find anime CR does not have but for now there is plenty here to watch.

CR has the on point anime/manga library and I like the community on here. Although I've also came across some pretty strange people but who cares. I still have to use some other sources for some content that's not found on here but I like knowing that the money for my subscription is supporting the anime industry

It has most of my favorite anime, and each season has at least 2-3 that I really enjoy. The rest I get off Hulu

The main reason is because it's legal. I like to support the companies who put out products I like and support people who create for a living. The second big draw is the community here and finally the site's ease of use. Funimation just makes me groan every time I have to watch something there. Why in the world does it have separate pages for the anime information than what the video's on? All that clicking annoys me plus it only works on one of my three browsers. It does good with Chrome but it's fubar'd with Firefox and IE.

Plus crunchy roll's are yummy!
